my buddy is playing his copy of heavy rain right now, offline on his phat ps3. it did the mandatory 226mb update and all is well. he doesnt care about his save info or trophies so he is fine for the day. I thought the issue was stopping people from playing offline games, apparently it just wont connect to psn, and save data for offline games could be corrupted if you play. big deal.

Its pretty bad that nobody can go online or sign into the psn, but since its a free service its not a big deal. However not being able to play games while offline is a big deal, and totally ridiculous. And this only applies to those of us that have launch fat consoles. What a slap in the face to all of sony's biggest supporters from day one. I feel even worse for the people that played offline and didnt sync their trophies, because all of that hard work is now gone and likely wont be back ever. The fat ps3 was a ticking time bomb this whole time. My buddy who just bought a use fat ps3, and has never connected online rented a game on sunday that is due back on tuesday. Poor guy wont even get to play it, and he will have no idea why not. It was a playstation exclusive as well (heavy rain). Double face slap from sony to an uninformed loyal customer.

PS - When they release the manual fix for this, they should include MKV playback as a bonus and apology.

too late, damage is done. having said that, i would like to have an option to delete or remove trophies and played game info. from now on I can create another account, but for the ones that are already there I should be given some kind of option like press triangle on the game then delete. then it can sync with the psn servers and my trophy score will be reduce. shouldnt be a big deal. its not like i am asking for mkb playback or anything.

best game ever. never played a game before in my life that was so fun from beginning to end. state of the art graphics, so colourful and amazing to look at. only game worth my while to platinum, and enjoyed every minute of it. a combination of the best elements of tomb raider, gears of war, and resident evil. multiplayer is like a second awesome addictive game added in as a bonus. only game my girlfriend likes, and plays regularly.

The game is perfectly fine as it is. Nothing needs to be changed, I fell in love with the game how it is now, not with nerfed weapons and or lowered health. What will invalid be like if they lower the health? I already die from like 2 bullets with half health, with invalid on Im going to die in what, 1 bullet? ridiculous. dont change anything naughty dog.

Since I got my ps3 in 2008 Ive only played exclusive titles. I had LBP, KZ2, MPR, Infamous, UC2, and UC1. All ps3 exclusives that I liked everyone to see that I have played. Then my brothers came over and played a bunch of multi console nonsense and now those trophies and info are stuck on my console. I wish there was some way to delete those trophies and game entries so I could have it as just ps3 exclusives.

Mine works flawlessly, it was bought at launch, and I picked it up december 08. Plays blurays and games spectacularly and I love the 4usb ports, and the memory card slots.
