The Dreamcast used a proprietary format for their games GD-ROM. There’s no way a Blu-ray-Drive is going to read original DC discs. Unless you’re just talking about downloadable games running on an emulator.

True but many last decades. I remember having a portable TV from 1964 that my grandmother had in her attic. I used it well into the early 90's, still worked great when I pitched it.
Black and white vacuum tube sets tend to fair better than color sets of that era. Only one electron gun and also a lot simpler with no circuitry for color demodulation. Also tube technology is a lot more forgiving when it comes to out of spec components than solid state. Pre 80’s televisions were also generally built to a higher standard than most of the cheap Chinese crap TV's that were sold through the last couple of decades. Towards the end of the CRT era most sets sold were just re-badged Funai garbage.
All CRT televisions manufactured even the most newest ones are already pushing at least 10+ years old now. The vast majority of which aren’t gonna to be very likely to function properly or at all in another 20-30+ years without some sort of intervention such as repair or restoration. Components such as resistors and electrolytic capacitors will gradually fail and drift out of value with time even if they sit unused. Also the CRT tube itself has a finite lifespan as the picture quality will degrade and darken the more hours that are put on it.
There actually is bootlegs of the SNES mini floating around. You can read about it here http://gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=counterfeit_snes
All model 1 Genesis take the same power supply doesn't matter if it's the High Definition model or not.
You can use a Master System or a Jaguar supply if you have either of those. You cannot use a NES supply as those supply AC voltage and the Genesis doesn't internally rectify AC to DC. The genesis really needs at least 1 amp and most of those 3rd party multi-system adapters are rated for around 850ma which doesn't really cut it. The Genesis power needs however are very generic 9-10V DC rated for at least 1 amp or over. The polarity has to be center pin negative outer barrel positive. If you have a power supply that matches that where the polarity is the opposite you can cut and splice the cord in reverse to correct for it.
As for a six button controller the ones made by Hyperkin are from what I've been hearing are very good quality.

I've been playing Spyro A Heroes Tail on the PS2. Finished it the yesterday Not a bad game at all and definitely better in my opinion than a lot of the negative to low average reviews it had gotten at the time. I'd give it a 7/10.
Probably gonna start a save in Seiken Densetsu 3/Secret of Mana 2 next as I had recently bought a translated reproduction cart of it.
I have around 170. Not even close to the amount of games that I still want for the system.
My PS2 collection
The smallest collection I own would be for the Magnavox Odyssey2 in which I only own a little over ten titles. The system is extremely primitive even more so then the 2600. Also It's library is really small and weak consisting mostly of derivative or downright clones of popular 2600 games and only has a handful of standout titles in my opinion.
VGCollect is full of swooning JRPG lovers.
I've started posting there a little bit recently and from what I've seen there's no more of that than just about any other classic vg forum. Although the community over there is on the small side it's as close to a perfect Legacy Platforms replacement that I've seen. Also their database and collection system is excellent. If you don't see a certain game you can add it in yourself.
The games discussion board sucks it's only ever current gen discussion. Any topic that's pre 7th gen related quickly disappears off the front page. There's five boards in which to talk about current gen games not even counting SW, there should be at least one board devoted to retro discussion. It's a shame that there's over 30 years of gaming discussion that simply can't be done on this site.
