The Last Level of Halo 3

I beat halo 3 on heroic with my friend on Saturday, but it wasn't until last night, when I played the last level by myself on heroic, that I could realy do a real critique of it. First of all, I must say that it is a rather short level compared to the other levels on Halo 3. You start off battling flood in this snowy wasteland, and climbing a pyramid, reminscent of Halo 1's level Assault on the Control Room. You battle a bunch of flood along the way, but in essence, its not really that hard. Once you reach the control room, you walk through some big doors, only to see the Monitor, 343 Guilty Spark, turn on you, spitting out some kind of gravity shield and lasering you. He's not that hard to kill though, just laser him a few times with the Spartan Laser. Then you activat a self-destruct sequence to blow up the ark, and you run outside, battling a little bit of flood resistance. Then you reach Johnson's warthog, and more nostalgia begins to build up from the first halo, and how the first halo ends. You drive a long course through the ark, dodging falling booms, exploding panels, and battling flood and sentinels until you reach the frigate, and fly away.

The last level in halo 3 is short, but very fun, and provides some fun references to exciting moments in halo 1.
