I played the free weekend on steam the other week and I actually really enjoyed it, so much so that I did consider buying it. But then I checked the player numbers and when a game is below 2 thousand on a free weekend it made alarm bells ring and I just couldn't risk the money it would have cost.
Hopefully in time the player base will increase and then I'll hop back onboard.
Having just moved from 1080p to 1440p I've noticed I can basically get away with not using AA on games anymore for the most part. Where the need arises I just use FXAA since a higher frame rate is always preferable to me.
@johnnykchop: I genuinely thought it might just be me since I haven't played an FPS on console for such a long time. There's something so disorientating about the movement in that game it seems.
I decided to try demo on my netflix machine (ps4) and I just can't do it. Something about the game made me feel nauseous. I'll wait for word on the pc port and go from there.
Wait, what? They're openly admitting holding back the pc version as not to offend people who play on consoles? I think the majority of console gamers realize that the pc version would normally look better, this is just lazy and spitting in the face of the people who want to play on pc. Scew Ubi, they'll probably botch the port anyway.
Thank god for that. Hopefully whoever takes over will make Dr who good again. Maybe then Capaldi can really shine, his Dr just seems all over the place with very few of the episodes even being memorable (I can hardly even recall what happened in the season just gone, or any season before that)
I'm glad it did well, and personally I enjoyed it very much since I went in with no expectations since I knew nothing about it. Netflix seem really good at making series, and hopefully they'll continue to fund films too.
