7. Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots

Ace Attorney and Danganronpa have some of the best mysteries and plot twists I've experienced in a game. Supported by great casts of characters.

While Uncharted may not have the most original or complex stories, they are still memorable as heck thanks to their charm, flow, set pieces, and once again, great characters.

The Last of Us is a given. Engrossing, emotional story with characters that feel real.

Metal Gear Solid is an interesting series. With a story line that spans decades and gives you a headache just trying to piece it all together. MGS 1 had a really good story with a captivating message. MGS 2 just went batsh$% crazy with all of its twists and unloading paragraphs of information at you at once. You feel overwhelmed, just like Raiden. MGS 3 went back to being somewhat simple and having a thoughtful message. MGS 4 wrapped everything up in a nice bundle with returning characters, locations, as well as references to older games.

TellTale's Walking Dead series is the most emotional series I've seen so far along with Danganronpa. Even if a good amount of your decisions don't matter, it doesn't stop the fact that the characters are complex and likable, or semi-likable, or not likable at all. You see your favorite characters die in such brutal ways and the music just makes it even more impactful.

I recently got Life is Strange, though I have been busy with other games. But from what I have been hearing, it may just join my list.

As long as we have companies like Nintendo, Naughty Dog, Bethesda, From Software, CD Projekt Red, indie developers, etc. single player games won't die.

Before I say anything, I think The Last of Us is a great game. It has a good story, likable characters, I enjoyed the stealth, and the graphics are beautiful.

However, I don't think it's amazing, let alone a masterpiece. Many people say its very emotional, but for me, I only found a couple parts emotional. Plus, I think TellTale's Walking Dead series is much more emotional and immersive. I also think that it's ridiculous when people call The Last of Us the best game of the last generation or the best game on the ps3. I think other games like Dark Souls, Uncharted 2, Red Dead Redemption , etc. deserve those titles. If you think The Last of Us is a masterpiece, it's fine. But saying objectively that The Last of Us is one of the best games ever made is false. There are other games where the story and characters are as good, if not, better.

Don't get me wrong. I really like The Last of Us. It is within my top 30 favorite games. It is well made and polished. But I think it is just overrated.

@invalid99: I'm surprised that I haven't gotten flamed on for my comment on The Last of Us yet.

Any game that either is really fun like Uncharted, God of War or Destroy All Humans despite me already beating them. And then there are other games like GTA, Crash Team Racing, Marvel vs Capcom, and Saints Row 4 that are super fun to just either run around causing mayhem, beating other people up, or racing others.

Uncharted Drake's Fortune: I enjoyed it. It was a good introduction to the series and is still, in my opinion, gorgeous even after a decade.

Uncharted 2: Amazing game. Better controls, very vibrant and detailed graphics, lovable characters, great story, it just improves on everything from the original and is spectacular even to this day.

Uncharted 3: While not as good as 2, it was still very good. It offers some of the best graphics on the ps3 and has some of the best and craziest set pieces in the series.

Uncharted 4: My personal favorite game of the series and my second favorite game overall (only behind God of War 3). Naughty Dog has really outdone themselves. The relationship between Drake and all the other characters. Rafe's character and motives feel evil, yet still human. the set pieces, while not as many as there are in 2 and 3, are still marvelous and are possibility the best set pieces in the series. The jeep chase is of course amazing and I don't think that the tower collapse near the end of the game gets enough attention. The ending, at least for me, perfectly ends the series, even though there is talk of possibly new games in the future. Finally, the game has the best graphics I've seen on consoles so far. Combine all of that with the cheat codes and more emphasis on stealth, and you get an extremely solid experience.

haven't played Golden Abyss or The Lost Legacy yet.
