Not only is the Witcher 2 on 360 sub HD but it has performance issues as well. Screen tearing framerate dips. Lemmings proving once again they are delusional.

Uhh so are DF and 1UP then.

I don't know why people like Digital Foundry, they only exist to cater to fanboy fights on the internet, that's their sole purpose just like Lens of Truth. Based off of what I have seen 360 Witcher 2 looks good But UC3 looks great.

Sorry Lems but you would have to be lying to yourselves if you think Witcher 2 is anywhere near UC3, not being a fanboy either just saying the truth.

From 1UP preview! For most games, a version that features extra content and superior controls would qualify if as the version to play. However, The Witcher 2 is not most games -- it's one of the best-looking games ever made. There's simply no way that the 360 could match the visuals of the original -- a game designed for machines with as much as ten times the power. That said, The Witcher 2 might also be one of the graphically impressive 360 games ever made. Throughout the event, various developers asked me what I thought of the game's visuals. Their worry made it clear that the game's looking impressive was one of their top priorities. The geometry isn't as complex, textures were blurry (by PC standards), and the distinct lack of fancy graphical effects took away some of the grandeur from a few previously impressive scenes. However, when compared to its console competition, The Witcher 2 easily holds its own against the Uncharted 3s of the world. Whether it's "the best-looking console game" is a matter for fans to argue over on message boards, the important thing is this: At no point did I get that familiar feeling that I'm playing an inferior version of the game -- no frame rate hiccups like Saints Row the Third, no squinting at the screen trying to make out low-res objects in the distance like Battlefield 3. I'm not sure what I'll do when I get home tonight: Do I continue on with my PC playthrough? Or do I wait until WB publishes the 360 version on April 17?

Eurogamer But it is a world whose intricacy and realism will cause you to stop and stare long after the first drop of the jaw. The sway of tree-tops; the spray of a decorative fountain; the flames erupting from a burst gas pipe: incidental details that grab your attention for their quiet, shocking realism. Who knows how Crytek managed to squeeze Cry Engine 3 onto the consoles while maintaining such extraordinary level of detail? But this world sits next to Uncharted 2's as the most detailed and well-expressed yet seen on our TVs.

digital foundry face off

The crucial thing is that both are phenomenally attractive games, producing effects quite different and in many ways more advanced than anything we've seen elsewhere on console. We all wanted Crysis on console to be an event, a showcase release: by and large, Crytek has delivered, and those cutting edge visuals are backed by a truly impressive game design

IGN Crysis 2 on Xbox 360 has taken the crown for best graphics in a console game

Electripig Crysis 2 is outstanding in almost every department, not least its visuals, which are the very best either PS3 or Xbox 360 has to offer right now

GamesRadar Crysis 2 does run on consoles, and it does so beautifully. We're calling it now: Crysis 2 is possibly the best-looking console game ever.

justpushstart.com I find Crysis 2 visuals to be superior to similar shooters like Call of Duty: Black Ops or Killzone 3.

xg247.co.uk Crysis 2 is definitely the best looking game on consoles and PC

XXLGaming The games visuals were just jaw dropping and I have to agree when Crytek says it is setting the bar in console gaming graphics. Just wow.

joystiq: Though about the millionth FPS built around a plot of an alien invasion, give or take a few, it's also the most beautiful.

destructoid Naturally, the gameplay is all wrapped up with some of the most gorgeous visuals you'll see in a videogame.

gameinformer Crytek wisely sticks to the traits that made the first game successful while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of graphical fidelity.

[QUOTE="themerlin"][QUOTE="Dibdibdobdobo"] Oh my the Nostalgia line.... How many times do i hear that a day when i mention a old game which is still better than todays standards.Dibdibdobdobo
Well if you really believe that Goldeneye or Perfect dark are better than Halo CE, you must really love some archaic controls and auto aim.

For the time it was better quality FPS and i'd gladly play either of those 2 games over Halo: CE, Rare brought more to the table in innovation and set the bar for FPS on Consoles. It had its flaws due to one Analogue. Halo wasnt even a standard setter in the PS2 era as thats down to Timesplitters. Either way you wanna argue about it Halo: CE never pushed the FPS genre forward like Goldeneye nor set the standards like Perfect Dark. Besides all FPS with 2x analogs feel dodgy to me these days after playing Metroid Prime 3 and RedSteeel 2.

Completely disagree, Goldeneye and Perfect dark have aged badly and no console games have took anything from them.
