I , as some of you will notice if you have seen my games list, own and have access to over 265 games. (more if you add in those not featured on gamespot and those that are downloads)
I work 37 hours a week (more if you add getting to and from work) , i sleep 4-5hours a night , on average, and theres all the other stuff , washing , cleaning , cooking. visiting my daughter. I dont have any time free.
But i have managed to find enough time to play games for at least 3- 4 hours a day... most days. for much of the last year. Not bad you may say. but iv'e still not finished more then a few. and even then , not what the avaerage hardcore gamer would think of as finished. all endings seen , all objects found, all achevements on 1 xbox 360 game. so on and so forth.
So with the new year i want to make a fresh start , and complete all the games i can this year. But is that possible. I do have 265+ , and at the start of the year i had no more then 20. if that.
Add into that my own game projects (simple stuff on mugen and some basic online adventure game editiors) and my art projects (im a comic artist in my own time) how am i to do this. Should i pick and choose which games i complete? how would i do this? and how to keep track of them... Do i write a review after each time i complete a game? Are there restrictions on how i complete a game?? do i play normal, hard or extra hard difficulty? Do i post up videos??
(actually , i dont know how you get videos of games... so anyone who knows what sort of equipment i'd need for my pc and where to get it that would be most appreciated)
Maybe i just need a new job, one that paid me sometimes would be good . (dont get me started)
just when is a game "completed" , I used to need to do everything. But these days its just not possible.
On an unrelated note, why are there some games that are not featured on gamespot (GLOBAL DEFENCE FORCE FOR EXAMPLE) and why do many older games have no official reviews. I think gamespot should have a retro reviews team. covering the games time and gamespot forgot. I'd do it, for half the normal price. (or for a hot chocolate and a cheese roll.) And when theres a game released in the uk with noteable differences from the us or japanese original, why is it not given an independent review... jet set radio for example, not just a different title but some noteable content differences... huh.. huuuuh.
