Considering Resignation

I'm considering resigning as an officer in the NFL Union and as the leader in the Green Bay Packers Union. My activity in these unions and GS in general has steadily decreased since school started until the point now where I only post a few time a week. I am very easily swayed but right now I am highly considering resigning. I'm not woried about the NFL Union since there are tons of people that post their and there are other officers on trial now. What I'm sort of woried about is what to do with leadership in the GBPU.

A blog just to have a blog

Well there is no specific reason for this blog post, just haven't had one in a while so I figured I might as well do one. In my personal life I have been somewhat busy. I doing drivers ed and I have my "class" section back to back with my "driving" part. IT all happens on Friday so I normally don't get home untill after 5 PM on Mondays. Other than that I have been somehat busy because of my job, which isn't horrible but on school nights when I work 4 hours I don't have to much free time. If I do my homework and watch a show at 8 I have little to no time to do things liek GS and PS3. So lately I haven't been playing to many video games or being to acive on GS( Sorry GBPU/NFLU).

In video games I got Ratchet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction a week before Friday (9 days ago). I still haven't beta it since I have been as I described above somehat busy with my job plus school. I think I'm getting pretty close to the end and I should beat it in a few days. Ratchet games have great replayability so I'll probably play through it a few more times after I beat it. Call od Duty 4 comes out the 5th, and I'll probably buy it at some point, once I have played Ratchet enough.

In sports the Packers are doing great, 6-1. I'm doing great in pick'em in the NFL Union, as I'm leading the pack. In fantasy football I've gone cold in all three of my fantasy leagues after a great start. I think I started 7-0 in all of them combined and now combined I'm 14-9 combined. I haven't been watchng too much other sports. I honestly watched about 1 or 2 games of the world series. Soon enough the college basketball season will be starting though.

On gamespot I'm nearing two milestones in level 30 and 8,000 posts.

Running out of time

Two weeks from today is my first day of school, but there is still so much more I want to do. The summer is ending to quickly, it went by to quickly. I still have so many more things I need to do. I need to start and finish the second part of my summer homework for AP US, I'd like to get some new clothes before school starts, I need to finish my NFL draft preview, I'd like to have a fantasy football draft with some of my friends. But I have to juggle that around things like, 20+ hours of work a week, or for example tommorow I'm going to my grandparents cottage for one night. Then I want to have fun playing my PS3 like I have been all vacation, or enjoy the summer again and swim in pool which I haven't in who knows how long because its been so cold. Its going to be a busy two weeks and hopefully I can get everything done that I'd like to, no more sleeping in untill 10:30 everyday for me.

Merry Maddenoliday

Merry Maddenoliday! Have a fun time playing Madden to all of you that will be getting it. I'll be leaving to get mine as soon as my mom gets home, so hopefully I'll be playing it in 30-40 minutes.

My Trip Part 1

As many of you know I just got back from a trip to Europe and I suppose I'l tell you a little about it.

First off I had to fly to Washington and then from there take a 7 hour flight to London. The Washington flight left at like 7pm or so ET and when you get there its morning the next day so I slept a good portion of the flight. My family and I were able to get through customs and immigration very quickly. The first thing thats different is driving, where everything is opposite in England, which really screws me up sinc eI'm just learning to drive. But worse that that is when your in the city your not sure which way to look for traffic half the time. But anyways, I stayed 3 nights in London. Some of the main things I did were: go on the London Eye, which is sort of like a huge ferris wheel, but it doesn't stop moving, and instead of sitting down there is this large glass enclosed area where like 10 or 15 people can stand (see picture below). But its really cool because for about 45 minutes you get this great view of the city.

Onto other things I did in London. I went on a tour of Parliment, which was intresting (though my brother found it very boring). I saw the play The Mousetrap, which was very good. The main plot of the play is a bunch of people are snowed into a house and one is a murderer (it resembles the bored game clue). I also saw the tower of London, which I didn't realize isn't exactly a tower its a castle. Also I went to Harrods a massive department store (though I woul have to say the ones in NYC are more impressive) and art gallery.

Another thing I did or tried to do was watch the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. The second day I was in London we showed up at Buckingham Palace and sat outside waiting for the guards to change. Well they never did, as they don't everday (they do a minimum of once every other day). So the next day we came kind of late, but this time it was actually happening. We followed them marching down the road in front of Buckingham Palace and as soon as we drew near we saw that there was probably 5 times as many people as the day before. Clearly mamy of the other tourists knew more about it then us. That day it was so much more packed though we had to stand across the road and saw pretty much nothing of the actual changing.

A final intresting thing in London is street perfromers. Right in front of the London Eye (and in many other places in town) there were tons of street perfrormers. I'll break them down into three groups: statues, performers, and other. First there are a bunch of people that paint themselves silver and all day stand on a box or something with a bycket for coins in front of them. They don't speak but sometimes move. The performers are the people that actually have a show and interact with the audience. Generally you see large crounds around these people. They do things such as get out of a straightjacket or cut a fruit on someones bare chest. What I'd learned about these performers after a few days is all of them have very similar lines that you hear repeated (after asking people to clap and getting a mild reation a common quote is: "Not just the children and the drunks, which is funny the first time but not the third). The third type others is sometimes you'll see a random performer like someone playing the guitar. Throughout my stay in London I watched a bunch of street performers.

London Eye ^

I intended too write all of this in 1 blog but since this is taking way to long I'm going to break it up into pieces, and this is the end of the first part

Europe

In a few hours I'm going to the airport and I'm going to Europe. I won't be back until the evening of the 10th, so I won't be posting until then. I was planning on writing a decently long blog post about this but quite frankly I don't know what to say. I'm going to the UK and Switzerland, I have releatives in Switzerland. Well I may be on a little but in the next hour or so but after that I'll be gone, so see you guys later.

Tons of PS3 Games

It seems to me that for the rest of the year the PS3 is loaded with games both exclusive and non-exclusive. Its going to be tough choosing which ones to get. Here are some of the more notable ones (bolded games are exclusives, some are timed).

Madden 08 (August 14th)

Lair (August 14th)

Stanglehold (August 20th)

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfight 2 (August 21st)

Heavenly Sword (Q3)

Warhawk (Q3)

DiRT (September 4th)

Blacksite: Area 51 (Spetember)

Half Life 2: The Orange Box (October 9th)

Gran Theft Auto IV (October 16th)

Assasin's Creed (November)

Socom Confrontation (November)

Home (November)

Unreal Tournament 3 (November)

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (Q4)

Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock (Q4)

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Q4)

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (Q4)

Army of Two (Q4)

Rock Band (Q4)

Haze (Q4)

Devil May Cry 4 (Q4)

Unchartered: Drakes Fortune (Q4)

Burnout Paradise (Q4)

____________

So many AA or AAA games, so little money to use on them. I'll probaly only get about 5 of them because of the money factor. The ones I'm most likely to get are: Madden, Lair, Heavenly Sword, The orange Box, Socom, obviously Home since its free, Ratchet, Assasin's Creed, and Haze. A second tier of games that I may get and will probably get eventally include: Unreal Tournament 3,, Devil May Cry 4, Rock Band or Guitar Hero 3, Mercenaries 2, and Unchartered

Boston, E3, and GBPU

First off I will be going to Boston on monday and staying one night. So I will be inactive all of monday and most of tuesday. I am going with one of my friends and his family. My friends sister is attending a camp or something in Boston so I would assume the reason this trip is happening is to pick her up. But the reason my friend and I are going is to see a Boston Red Sox's game. You guys probably know I am not a Red Sox fan (my friend is) but why would a turn down a chance to go to Fenway when my parents are paying for the ticket. So thats that.

Next up E3. In my opinion E3 this year was somewhat boring. Well maybe not boring just the fact that nothing was unexpected. Microsoft set a few release dates and talked up Halo. Nintendo babled on about how much the Wii had sold, gave release dates to two of its big games (Mariio Galaxy and SSBB), introduce the Wii zapper, and WiiFit which I guess was unexpected but I don't find it very exciting. SOny showed off home, a new PSP, and a bunch of games.

Since I am a PS3 owner I'm going to talk about Sony's slightly more in depth. First off PSP: I've never really been a fan of handheld gaming systems but Sony's press conference kind of made me want a PSP. The Star Wars bundle with the special Star Wars PSP and the next Battlefront game particularly looked attractive to me but I probably won't end up getting it. It was great that PS2 got to great (timed) exclusives in Unreal Tournament 3 and Haze, though I don't believe Haze hasn't been confirmed for the 360 so it may be a full exclusive. Both the MGS4 and Killzone 2 trailers were great but nothing over the top amazing. Sony showed off a great number of games but there wasn't a whole lot of new stuff revealed about them. Lastly on E3 I didn't watch to much of the stage demos because gamespots video didn't work to well, just some coverage on G4 here and there plus videos for games that I really wanted to see a day later.

On to the Green Bay Packers Union. The GBPU will be celebrating its one year nniversary on Tuesday. I'm going to be posting a few things and I hope its a great anny. Sadly as I said earlier Tuesday I will be traveling home so I probably won't be home until about 5 PM to post the threads. Oh well.

Level 26, Personal Update and New Sig

Recently I just achieved level 26: Cyber-Lip. Don't know what Cyber-Lip is but thats ok.

Moving on this week has been very busy for me. Saturday I had orientation for my job which I just got hired for. Monday through Wednesday I've had to work from from 6:30 to 10:00 (except Tuesday I worked from 5:30 to 9:30). Working might not be the right word, training is what I've been doing though yesterday (Wednesday) I actually worked a lot. I got hired in my local grocery store and I think my actual job is a "grocer" which is basically means I stock shelves, bag food, bring in carts and random stuff like that. But what they wanted me to do was learn to be a cashier in case they needed an extra one, so all this week thats what I've been learning to do. Friday and Saturday I am actually working and no longer training, both times I will be a cashier. But it sounds like to me like after this week I will probably rarely be a cashier again.

The other main reason why this week has been busy is I have had final exams. I have only had them in the afternoon which is nice because I get to sleep in but I have them all this week and one Wednesday. Once Wednesday comes I'll be free for the summer so I'll be playing a lot of PS3, and the rest of the time I will be swimming or working.

The final thing is I changed my sig. I changed it to a PS3 gamertag. There is plenty of room for more things but I don't think other tags/sigs fit well with it. Here it is:

Closing Note: Its a month and 3 days from the Green Bay Packers Union's Anniversary!
