Hi there everyone,

There is this game I remember playing sometime in the late 1990's/early 2000's. It was 3D, and you were in control of this small tank or tank-like vehicle, which was equipped with a cannon that shot lasers. I can only remember a single level from the game: it was set in a mountainous desert that was full of cacti, which you could actually blow apart with your cannon. The enemies were these weird two-legged mech/robot things that also fired lasers. In addition to these "normal" mechs, there were two similar but much larger mechs (which may have been bosses) that were walking around some kind of spaceship (which they were guarding?). One of the other things I remember about the level was this train that continuously circled the map on some sort of elevated track. The train could be shot at, but I can't remember if you could destroy it. Lastly, I'm fairly sure there were also power-ups that changed the type of laser you shot scattered around the map, but I can't be certain.

The version I played was on a console, but I can't remember which kind it was.

How are PC gamers supposed to answer that question? Both GTA V and RDR are console games; wouldn't it make more sense to ask console gamers?

You're forgetting that every pc gamer owns a console even though they spent 99.99% of the time saying how crap it is. lol

Sounds like a hasty generalization to me.

Depends on the level of "AI" you are talking about: if you're talking about the limited kind that already serves a variety of purposes today, then sure. But if you're talking fully-sentient science fiction AI, then hell no.

The fact that there isn't a non-white player character in a game does not make that game (or its developers) racist. By that kind of logic, any piece of art depicting humanoids that didn't feature an even or varied distribution of races would be considered racist. That alone should be enough to "clear" Mario Kart: there are plenty of non-racist photographs, paintings and graphics that depict specific racial groups without giving a nod to others, just like there are photographs, paintings and graphics that depict mixed racial groups.

Now, if the game had been called Mario: Krazy Kool Karts or had featured obvious racist overtones, then I'd say you had a point. But the fact is, you're simply projecting your biased worldviews onto a neutral piece of artwork. Your argument that Mario Kart 8 is racist sets an unfair precedent that labels the majority of art created by the human race as racist, and thus is obviously flawed.

Anyone else notice that the spam accounts always seem to have 6 posts?

How?

Yeah I noticed as well. It's strange

I just made a new account, and for some reason I started out at 5 posts even though I hadn't posted a thing. In other words, my first post was my sixth.
