Thats one thing Sony needs to step up in is their online service. I'm really hoping with them charging for PS+ will net some big improvements to their online infrastructure.
I think PS4 and X1 will both be great systems with their own strengths and weaknesses - X1 will be the leading system if your main focus in playing online and with the PS4 now charging for PS+ will provide a much better online experience that may not be on the same level as X1 but will be much better than its current state and will improve over time.
