I disagree about no improvements on PS4 games. I can specifically mention Dark Souls 1, 2, and 3 which all had their anti-aliasing improved and were sharper overall. You can even see further.

I do not think it works well with those games considering the sharpness brings out the old textures too much and it makes them look too clean.
