With RE:ORC coming out in 3/20/2011, there is finally another multiplayer RE game. Although the game is met with criticism, I plan on getting it because i remember all the fond memories of the two outbreak games. They did not contribute to the RE timeline much, but they were enjoyable "squad" survival games. I still remember the unique characters that had noticeable traits and abilities that make you appreciate the selection of characters.In the actual RE games, you are mostly stuck with the same character(s) the whole time and they play mostly the same game to game. I enjoyed the story of the past games a lot more than the outbreak spin-offs, but i still loved the experience because it was good in its own way and provided its own unique experiences. For all the people that do not like the new direction for the RE games, they should at least give it a try. Just because it is different doesn't mean it can't be good game. I may like the old games more, but i still enjoy the new ones as well because each RE game is a great game with specific characteristics that set them apart from the others.
