It is the best Grand Strategy game i have ever tried. The Heir to the Throne expansion makes the game amazingly fun. The management of your country is fun, and i highly suggest doing some tutorials. For a first country try France, Castille, Portugal, or Great Britan. Also go to the Paradox fourms and register your game. They are amazing help over there.
WaW > CoD4 > Black Ops > MW2 Hardest to Easiest for Veteran.
The only two parts in BO that was trouble was the Vietnam mission going down the hill, and being the gunner of the tank. All other parts were pretty easy.
You do not need to upgrade to windows 7, though the OS I would say is alot more user friendly and very very nice interface compared to Vista. The video card if you want to splurge we could go for the newer GTX xxx models on the market though you should get by fine with what you have.
As for the registering only 3 gigs of ram yes that is a 32bit OS issue not really a Vista issue. If you want to see all four gigs I highly suggest upgrading to Windows 7 64 bit. Though I would wait until I get away to college, sometimes depending on where you go they will give you free software including operating systems. I am a Uconn engineering student and we are enrolled in MSDNN so I basically get all the Microsoft software free with my tuition. Even if your school doesn't offer such a program having a university email address I believe there are discounts available for students who are looking to upgrade to windows 7.

Thank you. I will keep my desktop then, and see how it goes. Now will my desktop be able to run Victoria 2, and SW:The old Republic? It was slow for HoI3, but I believe that was just an error on Paradox's end.
Would I be better off taking my Desktop to College with me then? Maybe just upgrading the desktop instead of buying a new laptop?
My Desktop has:
Inte(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @2.4GHz
Ram: 4 gigs(Only reads 3 gigs)
32 Bit Vista
Geforce 8800GT
Would I be better upgrading this, or getting a new laptop? Also If i keep this, how do I install a wireless adaptor to connect to my colleges internet?
