Still Alive!! Part 2

Yes....I do disappear every now and then but hey as long as I come back with a HUGE update, I'll be fine right? Anyways it's been awhile so I'm just going to write about what I've been doing since my last video blog.

Rainbow Six Vegas

Since my last video blog, I decided not to buy Guitar Hero II but instead I bought Rainbow Six Vegas. Reason: I already own GHII on the PS2 and the song packs released for the game are just way too expensive.

R6V is an awesome game, the single player campaign (which I have yet to finish) is really fun, the enemy AI is tough and smart and they will keep you on your toes. The weapons in the game are, in my opinion, the stars of R6V. You can choose from sub-machine guns to assault rifles to sniper rifles and of course you can get your batch of C4 and blow some terrorists up. The detail on each weapon is spectacular, just like if you were looking at the real thing. That said, the graphics are amazing with some great animations especially when reloading the sniper rifle after each shot, the lighting is superb and the character models are sharp and well detailed. The multiplayer is where this game truly shines: tons of modes to choose from, 16 players, decent amount of maps and just great fun. My only complaint with R6V is that the story really isn't that great and its kind of hard to follow, at least for me since there are no subtitle options in the game. My score: 9/10.

Xbox Live Arcade

Since my last video blog I acquired two 1600 Microsoft points card which I used for:

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (The best game on XBLA and the best 10 dollars I ever spent on a game)

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (The enemy AI is cheap and it will absolutely destroy you.)

Alien Hominid HD (At first I didn't like it but the more I played it the more I loved it. Great 2D shooter, one of the best IMO)

DOOM (What can you say that hasn't already been said about this 14 year old game? Well.....It's a classic! Totally worth the ten bucks!)

Rockstar Presents Table Tennis

My brother bought this game for 20 bucks. My first impression was that it was boring and dull but once I got used to the controls and bumped up the difficulty, this game can be a blast to play offline and online. It really does feel like playing the real thing only 10x faster!! The character models on each of the 11 playable characters is just amazing, you can actually see them sweating after playing for awhile just like Fight Night Round 3. I have some complaints with this game: No career mode and the achievements are HARD to obtain. But overall a fantastic Table Tennis game meant to be played with a friend; you'll definitely have a ton of fun. My score: 8/10.

And finally....

Pokemon Diamond

....the game that took up most of my time for the past couple of weeks. I hadn't played a Pokemon game since Silver on the GBC years ago. I wasn't going to buy this one but after watching and reading some of the reviews for it, I just had to get it. When I started playing, it was so nostalgic, from the music to the actual gameplay, I noticed that some things just never change. Sure its still the same game but with better graphics, an awesome presentation, 100 new Pokemon, new moves, a HUGE new region called Shinnoh, touch screen features, Wi-Fi trading and battling and of course, the same addictive gameplay that I came to know and love from the series since Pokemon Blue. Underneath its kiddie surface, Pokemon Diamond is an excellent and addictive portable RPG that any DS owner should at least check it out. My score: 9.5/10.

Well that's about it. Hopefully I will return soon with a brand new update and maybe even a new vlog. If any of you guys out there want to play any of the games I mentioned above with me, send me a PM or a friend request on Live. Later!!

Oh yeah and I got fired from my job but I don't care.

Gamerscore: 2,806.
