You need to have a disc in the machine for it to work?

Sorry, no dice

That's going to be the dealbreaker with most users.

Jaysonguy

Why? It is better functionality then if you have to use the PS3 interface. If they are actually going to be using the B-Live feature, then basically you are going to be logging into Netflix's website and using their engine. No need for software updates or changes to the PS3 firmware.

Afraid you have to get up off the couch and put in a disc? That is sad.

Turns out Sony and Netflix have finally come to an agreement and Netflix Streaming video will be available on the PS3 by the end of the year. The new functionality will be done with a Blu-ray disc that you can get from Netflix with as little as a $8.99 package. The disc will use the BD-Live feature on the disc [yea finally a good use for it].

There are not a lot of details about it on the Netflix website yet, but if you do a search for PS3 then you will be taken to a page where you can reserve a copy of the disc to be sent to you as soon as it all gets set up.

Yet another XBOX 'exclusive' kicked to the curb.

Okay Sony, you're bad. Make it good by reducing the initial price.

This is BS.

Again, I agree the boards are great, but why can't we get the same love as the XBOX 360 from GS? Is it a matter of apathy or workforce? Is it a matter that game developers don't send PS3 games to GS in time like XBOX does?

I have a rough time believing either of those because it still can take weeks after a release to see any support of a game by GS. Seriously, if it is a matter of man power, I am sure there are people out there that are willing to review PS3 games for you.

Also, shout out to MusashiSensi. I usually don't call someone out, but you actually wasted one of your 5860 posts on that last one? And you call me sad? Get a life and maybe I'll actually read another post of yours.

I am not asking them to hand stamp every PS3 game that comes down the pipe a freaking 10. I am asking for a review period. Good or bad. I'll take it anyway they give it to me.

Oh and I knew they weren't going to give LBP a 10. I knew they were going to knock the short solo play because the game isn't built for that. The game is built for the community to enrichen it, and eventually it will. But the core game is 'basic'.

Still, I have limited funds and time to put into games. I have found over the years that the PS2 reviews have been helpful. I would just like to same respect for the PS3.

Let me state, that I don't have any problem with the community. I jump on the forums of all my favorite games. It just sucks that we get no love from Gamespot themselves.

This thread is for PS3 members to voice their concern about Gamespot's absolute lack of support of the PS3. I'll start it off by pointing out that there was two big releases for the PS3 this week and yet again, neither were reviewed.

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation
Dead Space

Dead Space was reviewed on the XBOX 360 boards, but they can't be bothered to support us.

Seriously. They give us little to no support at all. Our games never get reviewed. If they are then they are almost always rated less then the XBOX 360 version. I'm am soo tired of having to go to the XBOX boards to get a review. If you don't have any Gamespot reviewers that are willing to try the PS3 version then give some of us PS3 fans a chance and let us review it for you.

This is BS.

Wish you could edit posts because just found this on Newegg:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824112174

I don't know anything about Sceptre, but a $600 37" LCD with 1080p and no shipping....that is a hell of a deal.
