If you don't already know, I am a wrestling fan and have a couple of things to say about the next ECW One Night Stand. first of all I knew that it wasn't gonna be a very good idea in the first place, due to last years that was a tad mediocre, and just another chance for WWE to get more people liking their brand. Not to say I'm not a WWE fan, infact I prefer it to ECW, because I think that ECW just relied on the same formula everytime they did a show and it really started to get boring for me. And if it wasn't for WWE then ECW wouldn't of existed, though they seem to everytime make it look like they did everything to make it possible, when Vince did most of the work himself, with the exception of Paul Heyman.
The last comment I made about Paul Heyman doesn't necessarilly mean I like him. As a matter of fact he really iritates me. The TV time that the WWE had given him in the past wasn't exactly the best. 1) For most of 2001 he commentated with Jim Ross and I personally think he wasn't up to standards 2) The storyline he was involved in where ECW and WCW invaded WWE during 2001 was pretty crappy and predictable 3) Also the the rivalry between Heidenrich and Undertaker, in which he manged Heidenrich in 2004/5, was also according to me predictable, though Undertaker did do a good job in making it lokk like he would not be successful.
Any way, back to ECW One Night Stand 2. All you have to do is look at the matches on paper and relise that it's just another marketing scheme for the WWE. One match involves Edge and Mick Foley against Tommy Dreamer and Terry funk and another involving John Cena defending his WWE title against Rob Van Dam (hint hint). This to me is bad. Why for once can't Vince get his nose out of other peoples business and let them get on with it. If they did a show just including the old titles from ECW and carry on the relaunch of ECW from there then it would be successful, but Vince is quite obviously afraid that they will out shine his own brand.
Theres a lot more I could say but I just can't be arsed.
