Alive & Kickin'

So after a hard week of work & tech, finally, the new machine OSs are set up.

I have VISTA 64 on C:\ that is runnin'very well, tough it crashes with almost every games (patched or not...)

So I think it was worthwile, sweatin' saturday night until 3 a.m. to finally get on poor old XP32 on D:\...:x

I wonder if any of you knows what's facing when trying to install an old XP starting with a RAID 0 configuration controlled by nVidia nForce 590 chipset... on a second partition... and with Vista on the first...  Anyway... Now everything's runnig fine and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a pleasure for the eyes. I must admit (but I'm in the beginning) that I'm finding it rather annoyng. Too many clueless fight in a "solo against the world" mode... Let's hope it'll get better!

But you should really see how PES6/WE12 runs smooth on the new machine, is far much better than on PS2!:D

It's done!

So the new machine is ready at last...

It comes equipped with an:

- AMD Athlon64 X2 5600+

- ASUS M2N32SLI-Deluxe

- 2 Gb CORSAIR Dominator DDR2 6400C4 EPP

- 2 x Asus NVIDIA GF8800GTX

- 2 x WESTERN DIGITAL WD3200YS SATA2 16Mb in RAID 0

powered by a giant ENERMAX AL-064 Galaxy 850W and all inserted in a beautiful COOLERMASTER StackerT01 aluminum tower...

Strange enough, VISTA64 seems to work plain and well, but there's no way to install my old XP32...

Now it's time to think on how to clock the whole beast to a 10% power increment, then I'll need to find a way to install the damn'XP!

Second Life experience

Mmmm...

Last weekend I started my Second Life experience... My first impression?

Too much confusion for me...

Beside that, I believe I'll continue playing until the upcome of Crysis and Stalker will drag all my time and attention!

new hardware ordered

Last weekend I just ordered the new components I need to build my new PC.

Since it's 3 years now that I'm playin'with my Sempron 3000+ upgraded with an ATI x1600 agp, I decided to move the "old beast" to serious overclock and build a new directx10-capable, machine...
