I've decided I want to get a gaming laptop(my first one) so I can lock myself in a closet and play Crysis until my brain turns to mush....could anyone give me some good compnanys(besides Alienware, which I already know about)? My budget is $1,000-$1,500 

And while I'm here, once I get my computer, will I need a special Graphics card in order to play Crysis? thanks!

The problem with laptops are you're spending so much more for the products being smaller and etc. If I were you I would just buy a desktop so can upgrade. Laptop's are harder to upgrade and cost alot more, who knows.. The way the market is going you can do anything lately. But, I still say get a destop man. It's so much worth it witht he upgrades and you're not stuck on a small screen. I told someone the samething and he thought he knew the answers and spent I think 2000 for a 7800gtx and 2 gbs of ram and other stuff that won't do anything in a couple of months.

My friend for 2200 gave him a pc that had 4 gbs of corsair dominators, 8800gtx bfg 0c2,the fans for the dominators, e6600 with a 9700led overclocked to 3.4 ghz and a asus striker 680i board. A 800 watt PSU and some other stuff. Your best bet is to go with a desktop for the long term in years. Laptop arent really meant to game on.

dude are you kidding me? you really don't think web designers don't make big money? I just made 4k  for doing a simple charter site for a friend. And I just have more references wanting me to do sites for them, also he's willing to give me another 4k for his business site. Like I said lol I know a lot of big people in business bro.. This one guy my mom was gonna marry owned TORO lawnmowers, he also wrote songs for tom petty, and 38 special and lynard skyner. A friend of mine made 80 k and she's only been doing this for like 2 years. I'm good with computers, and I'm gonna open my own business soon... I just love the military.. I just don't like EA games or sports, I feel they rush their products just for the money and not the valve and the honor to say you know we made that. That's waht I want to do man, I wanna own a company and say you know I did something good for that person. If was gonna own my own PC shop which I decided not to it was gonna be flat rates, not what these thives charge you 79 an hr and it's only to install a psu and a motheboard. I'm more for the customers than the money, I have all the money I need to be happy.

Another yeah I have good money for a server to hold that many people the machine is only 2-4 k man, money isn't an issue for me. Again, it's not really modding.. most of these fing games that come out are the same game but with different guns and how the guns fire and etc. I would take the engine that it supports and write my own code for it. Write how the guns would fire and how they would look. I honestly thought desert conflict was garbage, sad mod that should've never been released from the start. They had the right idea on making it playable for everyone but failed with the planes never reloading when it should flying over the base.

I have no idea what the heck you're smoking man? No more battlefield style games? See, I could make the best battlefield game ever. Hear me out on this, if u tk someone it wouldnt do -4 or -8 which is completely lame. The commander wouldnt just be able to sit there and press arty every 2-3 mins, my game would have to make a comannder feel like he's actually commanding a base. I would have to make the commander be at an outpost that is entirely made for his uses, which the game does very well but he just lays down and press bomb here and there.

I would make the game kinda like battlefield 2 in the baby stages of the game life-time cuz most people like me and the vets love the old gameplay. Don't get me wrong I love battlefield 2 but come on man, did the game really needed to be changed so much? Its like taking someone thats use to cs 1.6 and getting them use to a whole new game far more different than css. Another, I wouldnt let snipers abuse the claymores... if you have a retard which I've seen a lot of ppl in game do. They actually see the red skull, the red skull tells u ur getting close to a friendly mine. I would just make it -1 tk for someone so they wouldnt have -8 from a jerk that punishes.

Another thing I would do would have to have destructable environments like walls,houses,buildings,trees and the environment itself. I would make it where u throw nades and it blows up the ground has a huge hole in the ground like a real hole should be. I would have options for my gamers, thats the problem with some companies man no options they make you play it their new way. I feel bf2 and bf2142 was runined with lack of tanks,jets,APC,heli's,jeeps. I'm sticking to this, i quit trying to get into planes and cool stuff cuz ppl would c4 u, make u ram them, or worse hs u with a m95.

Finally, I would ask my fellow gamers what they want in the game and how I personally and my team could make it more fun for them. What ideas they would want for levels, what guns they would want to unlock... I would basically make the game balance.. I would keep the snipering just like bf2 snipering, I love their snipers.. I love the way in bf2 u need 2 hits, 1 good hit in the throat or the head to do a 1 shot kill. Where CSS lol an awp hits u in the toe and boom u die. I also would love to make blood in the game too, you I thought about bf2 only has 2 million or 4 million players the fan base isnt that big at all. 

Im a die hard battlefield player, if I made a same ****game to support 128 man maps. I would ask my fellow gamers u want to pay 5 bucks a month? so I can build massive servers for u guys? See Im not money hungry, I know I would make millions upon millions off u already from buying my product. I dont think World of Warcraft needs 13 bucks from gamers to run servers.

2142 sucks..  I was god at that game and I still quit that game. Im tired of the fing bugs, I tried playing again on titan mode and omg. You stick to the floor, u still lag on the titans like no tomorrow. Im very disappointed they lock ur cd key with ur account name. This is retarded, I was a 3 star general so I quit when I lost key (which I think it was stolen). Im thinking on making my own development team soon. I feel EA ruins games for everyone, look at bf2! amazing game, I love it to death but I get more angry playing that than having fun. The new modes in 2 are just horrible now, u have noobs that leave MORES on the main walkways and just spam nades. 

The only thing wrong with bf2 when it came out was it crashed and the ranking was BS! You had to have 50k to be a corpal lol just plain wow.  Then they started to screw with the gameplay like the dolphin was sweet! I love the fact when I was medic running across enemy fire and jump to prone and shock my guy to life and pop back up and run to the next hurt player. So dolphin dive is gone but lol i have a Nostromo which makes my guns shoot faster and can make me dolphin dive again. Another, BTW im a real soldier.... How do u just take the ability of throwing c4 away? Like I said ive done this in trainning, wtf? I mean you're taking the core away from the game man. I think I talked about the mines and the claymores, wtf is this about EA? Strike on karkland was just plain ole fun man.

For the nubs that never ever played bf2 till the 1.3 patch the game was amazingly fun, it still is but it was a different world of a gameplay style. Strike was an amazing map man, it was the coolest map to actually have fire battles and actually go in the main spawn and just duke it out. You cant do this anymore :-(.. they made it where nubs abuse the claymores so they leave them in the main walk ways of fences so ppl are scared to go in. So bf2 turned into a nade spamming game, thank god im an elite sniper so I just pick them off with my rifle.  I just wish a company will give us options for the type of gameplay we want with ranked servers!

I personally feel Dice was retarded to sell all their shares to EA, Ea sports and EA games are evil as heck in the gaming world. The sad thing you gamers think they care for u and they really dont, I know most companies want money but ubi soft,ID software even valve care for the quality. Crap, look at crytek they know they can make probably billions off of 1 game by making it for the ps3,xbox360, and the pc but they choose to make an ultimate title... Battlefield2.. they just left it after 2142

Battlefield2142... always crashed, the titan modes lags still, so many exploits in glitches.

Madden 06... admitted they didnt care to make it good for the next gen,couldnt create a player

Madden 07.. lol just like EA still buggy and crashes, the game even lagged in the fing menu

Ncaa 07... Only 30 stadiums? No race for the heisman? wtf?

Command and Conquer 3.. for a month it was hard for ppl to login, and stay logged in. This is sad it was a pain just to get the patches to actually download from the stupid servers.

Battlefield bad company - if they go just consoles, im gonna freak out.. the series was made for the pc.

Medal of Honor series - decent but call of duty killed it. Also, did u know the IW-cod creators- were ex EA workers that were fired? shows EA they killed them in the WW2 genre.

Yes the 8800GTS is the best card and value on the market right now.  And the 7950GT / X1950XT are the best valuse for those who just can not spend more than $200. They are a much better choice than the 8600GTS.

What I was asking was the speeds of the cards.. cuz one is omfg so fast, the other not so fast. But the 7900 has a bigger bus speed than the 8600. And the 640mb and 320mb both have 320mb bus. Somewhere on this site states the xxx xfx 320mb model is faster than most of the 640mb models of the 8800.
