nope its not paired with any other, just 2x1gb in dual channel. the highest vista score is 5.9 i think, which is what the rest of my system is rated at, but the ram is only a 5.6.

I've recently built a new computer, with a q6600, 8800gt and 2gb of ram.

My ram though only scores5.6 in Vista, and it's 2gb of corsair XMS2 800mhz, with 4-4-4-12 timings.

my motherboard originally recongnised it as 5-5-5-18, but i changed this in the bios to its recommended ratings.

does anyone have any ideas why its only scoring 5.6?

i really dont know which to get, im tempted by the Geil as they are reportedly good overclockers and slighty cheaper, but as you said Crosair is the better known brand.
