Well I finally figured out why I cant access my router options or give you barely any information on it. My ISP blocks all user access to the router settings. If I wanted to do any of this port forwarding business or DMZ crap I would have to go out and buy my own router set it up to my preferences. Finally getting somewhere. Looks like I am going to have to make a trip to Wal-Mart tonight and buy a Linksys router instead of using this P.O.S. my ISP provided me with.buzzn77d
i read through this entire thread as i am having the same problem AND my ISP is Time Warner Roadrunner. I just got off the phone with customer service not too long ago because i was tired of all this nat 3 type crap.i already knew that my router was restricted in port forwarding or accessing the dmz. but i figured customer service can configure all of that for the ps3 on their end.but no..i was told that not only can they not do anything to fix it on their end, -but also that buying a por tforward, dmz friendly router would not help because roadrunner itself still won't let you chage these settings.and i asked detailed questions and supplied the tech specialist with all the info that i knew.so i received answers that were stringent of my inquiries.or in other words, accurate and to the point. I'm considering doing a bit of research to see if perhaps he was wrong, because no matter how direct you ask; people can still misinform you. I'll even call again to verify if this is true. but so far, the word is that CHANGING TO A BETTER ROUTER IF YOUR ISP IS TIME WARNER ROADRUNNER WILL NOT HELP YOUR NAT ISSUES.
