The NBA has done nothing in response to this except suspend players for a game which doesn't stop players because there are 82 games and their salary will still be in seven digits. Sometimes there is a fine levied, but it is usually 10,000 to 30,000 dollars. The NBA's average salary is slightly under $4,000,000.
