The Guitar Hero Franchise

Hey there, this is the first of many video-game related blogs. Now first off I would just like to say I'm a HUGE fan of the Guitar Hero series, and am looking forward to any future releases. Now, in my eyes I find guitar hero II the best in the series both because of It's stylish graphics, and how it introduced me to a few bands which I'm now a big fan of (such as Rage Against The Machine, All That Remains, and Lamb Of God). Number I had good songs and all, but I didn't really feel the techniques such as hammer-ons and pull-offs weren't portrayed too well seeing as how they were slightly hard to "pull-off." Now before you start thinking I'm a rookie and I just suck and such, let me just say I've beaten every song on expert with nearly every song five-starred and to prove that I've done so, you can check out my profile on www.guitarhero.com and search my profile name trentstamcstirs, but anyway back to the game. As far as Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock goes, I love it just as much as the others, though there were some areas where I was very disapointed. Such as the completely ridiculous amount of advertising which is a prime example of budget shortages, pretty much everywhere you look its either axe bodyspray (SERIOUSLY) or Pontiac Garage. This was a turn-off for me cause it was, just... Disturbing... I mean who seriosly wants to see that crap, It doesn't make me want to go out and buy some gross, ass-smelling body spray. WHO'S IDEA WAS THAT, arrrgh.. Besides that I rather like the game, although, the battle system could have been a bit more complex... As for what Neversoft has planned for the future of guitar hero? Well we can only assume there going to do what they did to their already deceased skateboarding franchise, release one after the other showing little improvement or change. So, I suggest that they just deal it all out at once: Create your own venue, create your own guitarist, create your own songs, customize your guitar with deckals and multi-colored strings, get off the stage, walk around and climb houses, create your own stage move, and the list goes ON and ON and ON. Anyone with an IQ above 20 can relize that they wanted to do that with this one, they just didn't have the funds.....
