Ok this was quite the impulse buy today. Having thought about purchasing this game for sometime got me thinking today. With a few birthday bucks from family that probably hoped i would buy new underwear with it,I headed over and picked it up.

Knowing that my true sports game love is coming out on september 11th ( not sure if its EA or 2k yet ) , i was weary of picking this up for the fact that whenhockey comes out all my games will be taking a backseat for a while. But after just messing around and playing a franchise game, and then another and then another, i realise this game is growing on me.

Loving the gameplay so far, the new replay features with the highlights is awesome, i like the little injury cutscenes, not to mention this game handles like the ferrari of football games. I can only imagine how this would be with the 60fps of the xbox360. You win this round 360 grr :twisted:

I just saw the new preview for battlefield 2142 on gamespot, and im kind of dissapointed as a consumer.

I know that battlefield 2 has been out for some time now, but i recently purchased special forces , and got the euro booster pack last week. And already they are planning a complete new bf at the end of this year?

I realise i dont have to buy it and i can keep playing my bf2 with no problems, but how bout the many players that will probably buy the new one and start a new game.  You are losing that many people from your already pc gamer game of the year.  Why not ride out this great game for a bit longer? keep working on something new and truly blow our minds in the years to come.

You could come out with 10 new booster packs next week for Battlefield 2, and i would pay 100 bucks in a heart beat for em, even more.

If i saw a new battlfield, i would think twice, because the game im playing already still has so much to offer, its a great game i dont want to stop, just to keep up with a trend.

So far i'm liking the game.  Early on I can really see the different mmorpg elements used.  The questing system reminds me of guild wars where you get xp for finishing quests aswell as items and such.  The movement physics remind me of FFXI. 

The combat system is yet to grow on me, seems a lil slow at times, could be my choice of dwarf :P but so far very str8 forward, the quests are fun, character interaction is so-so, gotta play more till i decide to buy the full game.
