I complete every game I buy, but for every game I beat or start playing, I buy around 4 to 5 just because they were on sale. My backlog is big, not as big as some, but I will finish all the games I have for the 360 and PC, eventually.

Hi. I am running an Xbox through my PC monitor, which uses a DVI connection. As DVI does not transmit audio, I need to find a way to connect it to my PC speakers that have a 3.5mm output. If I plug in an RCA to 3.5mm adapter, will the Xbox realise that I'm trying to run the video through the HDMI output (using DVI adapter), and the audio through the larger output on the Xbox (name escapes me), and then to 3.5mm?? Many thanks, Danbluecoupe66
Yes the xbox will. Video will run through HDMI/Dvi-D adapter and Audio will run through the other connection (the composite/compotent cable plug in) using only the red/white audio cables.
There are lots of videos on youtube showing how to do this, thats where I went when I had this same question.
My monitor's resolution is 1600X900 and I would set up the 360 at the 1366X768 setting. I also used an hdmi to hdmi/dvi-d adapter to hook up my 360 to the monitor and there wouldn't be black bars when I played.
I suggest you just play around with the settings and find one that looks good and works for you. I tried all of them and the 1366X768 (or something like that) worked best for me.
About losing HD quality, I'm not sure and don't know much about that stuff. I actually perfer to play my 360 on the monitor than on my 32'' LCD television. It just looks better but thats me and everybody has different tastes.
Exactly!
Also, I wanted to mention this to all of you, but I'm a kid that was born in the early 80s and because of that, I've got to see a lot of videogames improve and look better and better as time goes on. But nothing that I've seen from previous gens or even this gen looks as good or fantastic as Grand Theft Auto V. From all the screenshots and videos that I've seen of the game, in my opinion, GTA V is the best-looking game I've seen for this current generation. GTA V, to me, feels like a small preview of what developers may be able to do for the future on next-gen consoles.Metamania
I'm also a child from the 80's and seen the transformation of video games.
This is a good looking game but what excites me is all the stuff a person can do online and offline. I rarely play games online but after seeing the video of the online gameplay, and what a person can do, it hooked me and I had to pre-order the game that day. I enjoy nice looking graphics and all, but the content of what a game delievers is what excites me and this game does that.
If GTA V turns out to be as good as I hope, or even surpasses my expectations, I really hope the trend continues forward with other devs following.
I use to hook up my 360 to my monitor with an DVI-D/hdmi adapter..it would go...360-->HDMI Cable-->Dvi-D/Hdmi Adapter--->monitor.
I didn't know that the made a cable with one end being hdmi while the other end was Dvi-D. it should work for video but for sound you'll have to find another way. I found alot of useful videos on youtube, when I hooked up my 360 to my monitor using Dvi-D.
As for bestbuy having that cable..I'm not sure. But I'm pretty sure they have the adapter. I bought my adapter off Amazon.
So I did it. I can't believe I just preordered the GTA V PS3 bundle just to play this game (before I inevitably buy it for PC when it's available). Well guys, I'm excited to say the least. Anyone here want to make a crew or something?
Edit: Also, do I need to get an hdmi cord for the PS3 to maximize sharpness?chrisrooR
Good job! I was about to preorder that bundle but decided to just get the game on 360. If there was one PS3 bundle I've would've gotten, it would have been that one. I'm still waiting for a big PS3 price drop so I can swoop one up and play all the games on that system that I can't play on 360.
I'd go for an HDMI cable. The're pretty cheap online.
Steve Ballmer is retiring in the next year. Â First Matrick leaves his post as the head of Xbox to go work for Zynga, then Ballmer takes over his spot while also running the entire company, and now Ballmer is leaving too. Â It seems like total chaos over there right now. Â I wonder if he is retiring by choice or if the board wants him out.

I don't think there is chaos going on at M$. Steve looks like he's in his late 50's early 60's. Maybe he realized it's a younger mans game now and that he should step down. I'm pretty sure he has made a good chunk of change and decided that the stress wasn't worth it. I'f I could retire at that age, and live comfortably as him, I would.
I am courious to see who M$ appoints as their new C.E.O. and what direction the company will go.
I'm very excited for it, but will wait for the next gen or pc version. GTA4 ran like sludge and I'm willing to wait for the better experience.guynamedbilly
I was waiting for a PC version, but after seeing the video, I got excitied (Is it sad that a 33 year old male, married with two step-children, gets giddy like a school girl when reading or watching videos about GTA V?).
I preordered it for my 360 out of excitement but I'll probably end up buying it for PC, if it comes out for PC, and buy it on a Steam sale.
Yes, I did and I kinda still do. I have Double Dragon, Streets of Rage 2, and Double Dragon Neon and its hard for me to get excited for them while playing them on the Xbox 360.
River City Ransom was my favorite of all time. Texas Boots and Dragon Feet FTW!

LOL...that is funny.
I'm stoked for this game to come out. I really don't play online MP but this game will change that. All the things you can do, just excites me, and I don't get excited for MP online.
