The tall half-man/half-ape is known as Bigfoot in the United States, Sasquatch ("hairy giant") in Canada, and Yeti or Abominable Snowman in the Himalayas. Covered in long fur, Bigfoot received his name from stories of huge, human-like footprints, up to 18 inches long.
