Wow i had a problem. The Microphone input does not work anymore and its not the mic. it works with other controllers. Any help????

I recently bought a MW2 controller form madcatz about a week ago. One Day the headset input thing is not working. I dont even hear the quiet statiky sound u get knowing your headset is on. Anybody have any ideas or same problem?

Oh and my stupid warranty wont work because i threw away the package it came in (not the crate)
