Thanks for the replies.

Not exactly sure what happened to my 8800GTX but I was playin COD MW2 and the game froze and the graphics were messed up. I restarted and the graphics on start up were fuzzy and when it got past the windows startup the screen just started flashing.

I'm looking for a new graphics card at the moment but I don't know whats compatible with my system.

My System:

Power Supply: Theramtake Toughpower 850W

Motherboard: XFX nForce 680i SLI socket 775 ( 2xPCI-Ex16)

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Core Q6600 2.4GHz

RAM: 4Gb

Windows XP

Current graphics card: GeForce 8800GTX 768MB (This went haywire on me last week)

I was hoping to get a Nvidia GTX 460 1Gb but I've no idea if its compatible or not. If anyone has any ideas on what Graphics card is compatible or any recommendations it wou;d be much appreciated

Thanks!

I'm going on holiday soon but when I get back I'll want to buy a new pc. I just wanted to know what you think of the specs and if you have any advice at regards bootlenecking, better parts etc. I'm trying to get the best most future proof I can getpc. I don't want to be spending over 2000 Euros, that about $2500.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 boxed, 8192Kb, LGA775, 64bit, Kentsfield

ABIT IN9 32X-MAX WiFi "Beast", Sockel 775, NVIDIA 680i, ATX, PCIe

2048MB DDR2 Corsair TwinX CL 4, PC6400/800

Coolermaster Centurion5

ATX PSUXilence Power 800 Watt

EVGA e-Geforce 8800GTX, 768MB, PCI-Express

Samsung HD401LJ 400GB S-ATA II, 16MB Cache

I'm not really bothered getting a sound card and I haven't decided whether to get vista yet.

Thanks.

I seen a pre-owned Red Steel selling for 40 Euros. That about $70 US. The price of games in Ireland is a disgrace.

Has anybody ever bought anything off this website before,

www.hardwareversand.de

i was just wondering how reliable they are. Pricewise they're much better than Komplett.

If anyone could recommend any european websites for buying pc's I'd be very grateful.

If I buy any 15-pin VGA cable does that mean its also a HD D-dub cable?

I want to use my LCD TV as a monitor and I'm just wondering if there's something specific to look out for.
