Well, I got it at Gamestop for $49.99. Best Buy did not even had it in stock even though it was advertised. I asked it they were sold out dur to pre-orders. Nope, they just didn't get any copies in.

Anyway, I installed and it went without a hitch. I have Vista Ultimate Ed, AMD 3700+, 1GB Ram, and a 7600GT xPCI card. The graphics are really nice when I turned them all the way up, but unplayable on MY system. I had to turn everything low, but kept the 2x anti-alising and running 1024x768. Even in the hairiest battle, I don't experience any choppiness. The graphics are CLEAN if a bit cartoony.

Included is 12 multiplayer maps (9 large and 3 small versions). It plays much like UT2k4 and BF2. The single missiona are canned missions of the multiplayer missions. You can play by yourself with bots or with a friend co-op with bots and any combination thereof. The large maps support a MAX of 16 players.

The maps included remind me ALOT of UT2k4 maps. They are entricate and mutli-level. All in all, I;'m impressed with the design and layout of every one. Still only 9 maps (3 small versions) is a bit limiting for a $50 game.

The game play is fast. I was kind of expecting a slower pace (ala GRAW). It's plays like UT2k4 or Quake, or CS. You do only get ONE life unless somone with resurrection powers revives you.

All the powers work well together in a teamwork frame. Support and assault classes are for teh win. When a whole team utilizes the different powers together, they pretty much dominate. Still, it takes selfless players to play a support role choosing defensive powers instead of offensive.

I like ressurecting players, and I like it when other players choose "Grasping" and "Tree of Life" (defensive and support).

As far as weapons, I find them limiting. There isn;t a whole lot to choose from. Also, the bloom on them is atrocious. Makes me feel like a Star Wars Stormtrooper. The favorites seem to be the smg and katana.

I play via Mouse/Keyboard. I'm not sure I can detect a gamepad user. I get my fair share of kills.  I do not have Live, but it does come with a 30-day trial period.

As of now, there were about 8 dedicated PC shadowrun servers. 3 of them full at 16 players each. I totaled the number of players and counted up as high as 48 players online. Again, I do NOT have a Gold Live acct.

Bottom line, the game is fast and fun.

PROS: a FUN fps. Great level designs, interesting powers and weapons that are actually usefull. Nive mic of co-op mode and death match.

Cons: only 12 maps, not a great selection of weapons, grapics do look a bit cartoony. It's only Shadowrun in name (I played the p&p version of shadorwun for 4 years).

Fallout 1 & 2

I really liked the Baldur's Gate series (including Icewind Dale) for the first week or so, but for some reason, turned into a chore to finish.

I tried picking up this game TODAY (5/29) at both Gamestop and ebgames. They said they won't sell it until tomorrow! Screw that. I'm just going to buy it at BestBuy tomorrow as it's $5 cheaper there. I'm getting it for the PC.

Does Halo2 for the PC support multiplayer co-op through the single-player campaign?
