So as you can tell I have a big beef with the Emmy's. Overall I thought last night's show was pretty good; definitely more entertaining than it has been some years. BUT how in the world does James Spader win best actor in a drama series?
Boston Legal was a good show it's first season but after that not even the writers on that show can take themselves seriously. The plots are atrocious and outrageous and beyond anything that can be thought of as entertaining. That's why I don't get how James Spader wins for a character that hasn't changed in all the years that show has been on tv. Not onlythat but his character isn't even that dynamic. On the other hand, you have James Gandolfini nominated in the same category and I thought his performance for the last season of The Sopranos was amazing. He showed a whole new side to his character and did it very well.
Can anyone please explain to me how James Spader takes that emmy over James Gandolfini or even Hugh Laurie who is much better in House also?
Oh, and hi to all my friends on tv.com...sorry I haven't been on for a bit.
