Ive had MAYBE 1-2 freezes in 70+ hrs. GREAT experience with the game so far.

Ive been playing offline until 1.3 is released though. never had any problems before 1.2, & heard all the horror stories of the update, so i skipped that one for now.

I might have to pick it up myself, even though I've never touched the genre...edm-king
do it. i picked up oblivion even though i had never played any other RPG in my life other than KOTOR & didnt care much for the genre. played it for a few hours & have been hooked ever since.

[QUOTE="raydog44"]2 things 1. I never installed game b/c i heard about the texture issues, I d/l the patch last night, should I now install the game? Do you see an improvement? Does it lessen loading times which is my major concern? 2. Is there a point to all of the books in the game? I get the magic books teach you how to cast spells but I'm talking about the other random books I find, should I be keeping them or just ignore?

2. some books will open new quests. legend of red eagle is one example. I think most are just for atmosphere and background the elder scrolls world though.

Edit: Also the dungeouns, in Oblivion they overall looked like every other dungeoun you'd find so it got boring to raid and explore. In Skyrim, i've found no dungeoun or place that looks like another. And all I do is explore and find stuff. They really went all out on the design to keep things new and fresh.MickeyTheNinja

VERY excited about this^^.,

Are you trying to say that trying new things is bad? The gamers that may be playing TES for the first time may be wanting to try something new since everyone is raving about it. I don't see anything wrong with that.bblundell
THIS^...EVERYONE should at least try the game out IMO. EPIC game. I didn't even like RPGs before i picked up Oblivion & was hooked ever since. i guess you could say i jumped on the 'bandwagon' then.
