Not to rez a dead topic, but I wanted to provide some more USEFUL information for the OP. I have the latest iMac (quad-core 3.4 GHz i7, 4 GB RAM, Radeon HD 6970M), and it runs flawlessly with everything at max settings, ON WINDOWS 7. So, if you don't mind installing Windows 7, I suggest doing this. Why Windows 7? DX11, that's why. Just use Boot Camp, set up 20 GB for Windows 7 install, then allocate some external hard disk space for Windows (if you have any, otherwise, give 7 a bit more internal hard disk space). If you need help further, PM me. Alternately, you can download PlayOnMac, insert the Skyrim DVD or ISO, and click the Setup file found there. PlayOnMac will recognize it and you will begin the installation process. Should run decent. However, remember, DX11 will not be there, so you'll have to switch some settings off, such as V Sync and Bloom effects, as well as some others. Good luck! P.S. We own a Mac, because we believe in computers working. I built and used what would still be considered a great gaming computer for two years, before I got this iMac. Needless to say, I was not impressed by the OS that I was forced to run on it. With Mac, I have OPTIONS.
