I can understand them tweaking the lore in order to fit the gameplay of an mmo, but this is just over the top and rediculous. Blizzard doesn't care about WC's lore, just the money.

Glad I left the game a long time ago.

LOL you talk about it like it's real life. It's a game they can say and do what ever they want lol. How is it over the top I don't get where you're coming from on that ? And thats a pretty obvious thing to say about the money lol. No money = no game. Someone has to pay server bills and with the ever increasing player base that cost goes up. Its a bit of a no brainer lol. The game is still thoroughly entertaining.

Yeah, but as player base goes up increasing costs, technology improves which lowers costs and following Moore's law, current servers for WoW technically are 2^2.5 times more powerful than they were when WoW first launched.

Moores law is slowly being proved wrong. While the tech may improve prices don't go down, they go up. If a company started to lower costs each time your bandwidth usage went up I have a feeling they would be out of business pretty damn quickly.

I have always played Alliance. I havent played WoW in around 2 months but when the expansion comes out I am going to faction change my gnome mage into a horde character so I will have an 80 on both sides so I can try it out. I dont really see Alliance being favored by Blizz. Its just since your Horde you see it that way. If you go onto the Alliance side they believe Blizz favors Horde.

Its just a grass is always greener on the other side scenario.

Though I will say this

Draenai > Blood Elves

Worgen > Goblins

So in that respect I personally do think the Horde are getting the shaft. I will give you that =)

It should be noted that the only reason Horde has blood elves in the first place is because on most of the realms the elves outnumbered every other race to such an insane degree it was game breaking. Everyone rolled Alliance just to make an elf. So they gave us the blood elves to help even out the numbers a little. And you're definately right about the grass is greener. I have both Horde and Alliance characters, and each faction says the same thing. It's either "oh horde has this unfair advantage" or "alliance has this unfair advantage". It's the same in regards to attitude. Each faction assumes and thinks the other is more immature and cheats more.

Everyone hates gnomes. So it's only fitting we get a small race to hate equally. Im definately going to roll a Goblin when they come, thats for sure.

I'm a big fan of steam used it for a few years now. It does have a few issues though. 1: The games library is nowhere near big enough, there are a lot of games I would like to purchase via steam that simply arent there. That said thats not valves fault they can only add games that companies will let them. 2: The pricing can be a bit screwy, a few times i've pre-ordered a game only to see the price for it drop like a week after I paid for it. 3: There are NO refunds at all. Even if the game point blank refuses to work. You're stuck with it.

[QUOTE="pvtdonut54"]

[QUOTE="Swiftstrike5"] 8GB of space? Seriously? BF2 has a LOT more content than 1943 and it's like half the size (including several 1GB+ patches). Swiftstrike5

Battlefield 2 is old, of course it is smaller.

Yeah, but unless the BF1943 engine takes up 4GB of space, where is it all going?

BF2 has 18maps (64player ****too), 7 specialities (2 unlocks a piece?), 8 nations, and a ton of vehicles.

BF1943 has like 3 maps (16player ****, 3 specialties, 6 vehicles, 2 nations, and no unlocks?

Not to mention its OLD get that part OLDDDDDDDD. Older games are always smaller. Elite 2 has a universe the size of......well a universe, yet that could fit on a floppy disk. Get it now ?

Mount & blade did have a demo, but you could only get to lvl 10 i think or something.

alex-c26
Mount and blade was a fully free game for a number of years before it was bought out by a publisher if memory serves correct.

Free and decent MMO don't belong in the same sentance together.

shakmaster13

Listen to this wise man.

Yeah thats very true. I've tried a ton of free ones and always end up going back to WoW cos they all suck.
