its treyarch so its in the past (probably WWII) infinity ward (modern warfare) will make COD6 because they have a two year deadline to make a COD game. A new call of duty will be realeased every year, but this was not giving infinity ward enough time for other games so treyarch makes COD5 and infinity ward will make COD6. So COD5= past

call of duty 5 is going to be set in wwII.

they wanted a new call of duty game every year and with that deadline infinity ward wa not able to develop other games they wanted to. so infinity ward has a two year deadline to make the game so they could focus on other games. the next call of duty game developed by infinity ward will come 2009. It is more than likely that it will be set back in modern times. So, expect another modern warfare in the years to come. A side question to this post is: will you buy COD5 by treyarch set in WW2 or will you wait it out and get the Infinity Ward modern game?
