Today, I have received my most anticipated album of the year. The deluxe edition of Coheed & Cambria's Year of the Black Rainbow. :D It is awesome. It is unlike any of their previous albums, with a sound more akin to their Shabutie songs. My fav songs off of the album are Guns of Summer (as alluded in the title) and Far. Also, the deluxe packaging came with a book, which tells story the album follows in full detail. Definitely going to be a good read. :)

The bonus demo songs are good, too. If you find that the rest of the album is not heavy enough, the bonus songs will tell you otherwise. Chamberlain has some sounds at the beginning reminescent of those heard in the Willing Well songs from Good Apollo I. The Lost Shepard has quite a chilling intro witha choir singing in the background. As it lurches further in, it begins to sounds like something off of their Penelope Ep. Heavier sounding, but definitely with harmony. Great songs, I'm glad they decided to include them as bonus songs.

Besides that, I downloaded Cave Story last weekend. It's very fun, andthe music is a joy to listen to. If you've never heard of it, you can download for free off of the net, as it is originally a freeware game. The gameplay is similar to old-school games along the lines of Metroid and Castlevania (2 of my fav series). It is rather on the short side, however. I have beaten the game and got the good ending in about 2 days. Good game, an indie gem worth trying.

A few days ago I played a round of Mario Kart 64. I decided to start going for the gold in 100cc. Unsure of who to choose, I picked ol' reliable: Toad. On Luigi's Circuit, I got 2nd place. (Mario zoomed ahead of me towards the end :P) MooMoo farms, Koopa Beach an the other one: 1st place. I had fun and I got the gold. :) Now why is this important? Because, Toad's the best!

Well, I have some work to do now, I've been wasting time for too long.
