@sippio: I think you're wrong to underestimate what Switch 2 is going to be capable of. That said, I also don't think it's going to be outputting 4K in almost any situation, and the secret is that 4K doesn't actually matter enough to the masses. Nintendo knows that.

Remember when people tried to manifest this game as "rare" at launch? Dumb.

@zerojuice: Bad take. Nintendo objectively has the best exclusives (almost always has, and if you disagree, you're kinda weird/delusional), and since the Switch, they very much ARE #1 in terms of sales.

Switch was such a success that 3rd parties are going to be clamoring to make bespoke versions of their games for the Switch 2, even if that DOES mean 30 frames per second, for example. The masses don't care. They are going to see Elden Ring running on it and say "wow."

Hell, I bet Switch 2 will NOT be capable of outputting 4K in almost any capacity. But guess what. That. Does. NOT. Matter. The masses do NOT care about 4K, even if a vocal minority of people on the internet fuss about it.

This game already exists on PS4 and Xbox One, and is playable on the most recent consoles. This is a purely cash-grabby move.

@Cybersonix: I believe you. My recollection of playing this game when it was new is that it was super frustrating.

Maybe the multiplayer is what inspired the 9/10 review? So much value was placed on that at the time. Never really mattered to me, personally.

This game will be released on Switch 2. Mark my words.
