@nevrfearjbhere: Too true. I think many of us have more games than we'll ever be able to play anyways... So go play that sh*t! Games are fun! You'll live if you need to wait a few years for the new Doom to go down to $20.
@esqueejy: Oh yeah, I don't mean to be political with that comment. Just that Kotaku's (and I suppose every Youtuber and news outlet in any industry) habit of skewing headlines negative for clicks is so exhausting.
@Solaryellow: Totally. The Kotakus of the world acting like the sky is falling over this is hilarious. This is how it goes. Online preordering was expectedly horrible. I went to a GameStop and preordered one, no problem. The fact that preordering online was a bad experience doesn't indicate anything in terms of stock, I think. I actually think Nintendo did meet, or at least came close to meeting demand.
@Tiwill44: Very well said. And I still see the Switch concept as pretty novel, even almost a decade later, personally. Not to mention the bells and whistles added to the Switch 2.
@teddytabs: I could argue "ain't coming with anything new this time" but I'll choose not to. Mostly because I can't take anyone who calls that Direct "awful" seriously. It was one of the finest video game presentations of all time, and I truly believe that. The lineup is astounding.
@sippio: I think you're wrong to underestimate what Switch 2 is going to be capable of. That said, I also don't think it's going to be outputting 4K in almost any situation, and the secret is that 4K doesn't actually matter enough to the masses. Nintendo knows that.
