I also have a question...What is with topic titles addressing the board as "OT"? Obviously you're addressing OT...You're posting a topic here.spazzx625spazzx625, why do I address you with the name spazzx625 when it is clear that I am addressing you?

Should I be living the life I would want to be living, or should I live the life that I think I should be living?
What if there is a girl, but I don't think I like her, but I find the opportunity to ask her out, should I do it?
Edit: What if I don't like her now but end up liking her after I go out with her or something?

I had a few things. Mainly that the protagonist is an idiot and that the action scene was completely senseless.PannicAtack
Well, I thought the protagonist contributed perfectly, and as for the action scene, I'm sure most would have missed the point that the scientist made about the roots of trees forming a biological neural network.
Err, I don't think we're on the same page. My point is that the protagonist was completely irresponsible and moronic, and the battle scene made me feel cheated out of plausible plot development. Also, might I add,
The battle is entirely Jake's fault.
I see. Well, I did manage to find justification for the protagonist's actions. Also,
It might have been inevitable. Eventually the mining team would want to come to acquire the resource, but the Na'vi would refuse to let it happen.

there's only about five pages of 'relevant' material (ie, not about the little pictures above our names). of those, most are complaining about the movie, some are comparing it to other movies that made a lot, a couple are surprised about the length and box office results, and ~4-5 are actually praising it. not exactly an even distribution. hell, there's about the same number of threads comparing it to District 9 as general praise for it. It would almost seem as if bashing Avatar presented itself as a trendy thing to do.If you don't like, don't click on it.

How about "Trope?"
(Glitchspot is preventing me from quoting PannicAtack's post)
Well, it doesn't seem that trope and cliche mean the same thing, so it may not work.

I don't have complaints about Avatar being cliche. I have other complaints, but a cliched story isn't what bugs me.PannicAtackWell, I couldn't really find anything to complain about. For someone who doesn't like stuff much, Avatar was pretty good. I had a few things. Mainly that the protagonist is an idiot and that the action scene was completely senseless.

Its funny people are complaining about us bagging out the movie but I bet they'd be content with seeing a dozen threads praising it though. biggest_loseryes, people wouldn't mind seeing people agree with them. thank you for the insight. There's plenty of people who agree that they didn't like as much. So whats the difference curly? Well, check the main thread list, I'm sure you'll be able to find at least one.
