Why people should not listen to Game Reviews

So I decided to buy bioshock because of the close release of bioshock 2. The best thing was that bioshock was 20 bucks and with my employee discount I got it for 14 bucks. I figured that a game that received so much praise and game of the year awards was going to blow me away, so I go home after work and pop it in my PS3 expecting to be blown away, at first the game did grab me the opening was nice and the setup to the story was kinda cool. The world of rapture was very interesting, but as I continued to play and reached the 2 hour mark something came over me I was bored and the controls just felt off, as I got more and more of the weapons I quickly realized the guns felt really weak and they didn't have as much impact as I hoped even after I upgraded them. Fighting the big daddy's was a big disappointment and wasn't as amazing as many critics said it was and once I entered my 8 hour it felt more like a chore rather than play, then bioshock really got repetitive follow the arrow here kill some splicers here and search there body's for loot rinse wash and repeat, the powers weren't that interesting either its pretty basic lighting, fire, and ice you know typical stuff. I still haven't finished it but ever time I pop it in to my PS3 I'm not excited to play it it but I'm forcing myself to play it just for the trophies. The real positive about this is that I'm not going to buy bioshock 2 since I had that game in reserve and now canceled it. So there you have it guys this is why people should listen to themselves and stick to the games that appeals to them and not follow review sites like drones. Remember its your money not IGN, Gamespot, 1up,and Gametrailers to spend, buy the games you want.
