just wondering how you guys felt about people using other's saved data they get from the net (which is unbelievably simple to do on the ps3). personally, i don't have all the time in the world and so once i normally finish a game and don't plan on playing it very much afterwards, if it has extras (e.g. metal gear solid iv has items that provide invisibility as well as infinite ammo) that are particularly difficult or require a large investment of time, i just download somebody else's saved game from gamefaqs and just play around with the cool new stuff i didn't have time to get.
the only reason i do this, as i stated, is because i don't have the time to get the items, especially for certain games like metal gear solid iv where you have to devote tons of hours and have to be amazingly skilled at the game to get some of the best extras. others, like uncharted with it's medal/achievement system, make it fun to get these bonuses and don't make it insanely difficult either.
the main reason i bring this up now is because it seems with the new trophy system that new games might start implementing a burnout paradise-esque system where you cannot under any circumstances download a save from the net and play it in order to make sure ppl don't have trophies show up on their profiles that they didn't get themselves. i just really hope that they find a way to not have trophies show up when you download game saves, that'd be perfect.

I'm actually tempted to check out the Shaun White game, just because I miss the snowboarding concept so much. Heck, tomorrow I'll re-buy SSX3 and Tricky. All this SSX5 talk is getting me hyped up for a game that hasn't even been announced (yet). I can dream...
Things I'm hoping for...
- Tiger Woods style character customization.
- Classic levels, like Tokyo, remade.
- Bring back some of the old characters.
- Keep it an SSX game, let's not go down the simulation route.
- Make the online multiplayer a big part of the game, please!
I'd even be over the moon if they said they were to remake Tricky, but there's even slimmer hope of that happening.
i think you forgot to add one of the most important things: great music, like they normally have.
oh and btw, i saw this on the SSX (series) wikipedia page:
Future DevelopmentCurrently, there is no news on another SSX game, but during the Burnout Paradise demo released by EA, DJ Atomika says he got a call from Mac Fraser, saying that the mountains will be ready to ride again this winter. This could strongly hint the game coming out in 2008, but whether this information is a hint or just a joke is yet to be discovered.
