yes, it is an underestimated game! for those who can really think and quickly, especially @ the higher levels. u really have to analyze things constantly w/ every turn to do well - even on the king level - which can be frustrating and time consuming, YET VERY REWARDING if u can be sucessful of course. it reminds me of command and conquer that i played on pc years ago - yet different in its distinct way. based on my love of the game i definitely want to try civ 4 for greater depth. also u cant really critique this game fairly unless you can win @ the king level @ 2 of the 4 revolutions w/o saving or cheating depending on how u look @ it...i've passed emperor via cultural rev...that's my best so far.

note: on deity i played to 2042 and came in dead last...w/ me i either come in dead last or 2nd to last or i win? of course w/ losses in between

P.S. Sid Meier has won more awards for his contributions to the art of gaming than anyone if i remember correctly and that's WOW!
