Thanks guys!! Yep, it would be awesome to have a list all in one place! I've posted in the AU forums now, maybe I'll delete this one and move to the new one?

Hi everyone I'm just on the lookout for some new PSN/SEN friends - not just from Australia, but it'd be nice to play online with some Aussies :) My SEN username is: Jangomar I thought this might be a good place to start a list of Aussie-based SEN names!

I cant wait for the PSP2 this time they can attempt to fix the mess that happened on the PSP by forcing a new hardware revision so that people cant use phats and 2000 series which have already been hacked.ColdfireTrilogy
I sure hope not cos I'm planning on buying a second-hand PsP phat or 2000 soon. And I won't be able to tell if its been hacked untill I buy it :S

Release dates for the upcoming games. A decisive stand on the next hardware iteration.

I'm sort of having the same problem not being able to decide which psp to get. Im in Australia and the old phat psp's usually sell second-hand for about $150. The 2000's cost $219 second-hand and the SH 3000's cost like $250.

The big price jump from the phat to the 2000 is making think I should just go for the phat. Yes its old and yes its heavier and with less internal memory, but for the price (good enough for me to trade in my DS and a few games and nothave to pay a cent) it seems the best deal. I don't intend to play with it outside so I don't think that the brighter screens or the less-reflective qualities of the newer versions will benefit me much.

For me, it also depends on what transpires at E3 2009. If a PsP2 is coming late this year, then a phat would surely be the way to go. However, if it is not announced, or is scheduled for 2010-11, then the better, more contemporary form may serve mewell in the long run.

Btw, if I wanted to I could more than easily buy a new PsP 3000 tomorrow, however, I feel there is a risk that I might not like/enjoy playing a PsP so the less I pay, the less money I risk.

Sorry about such a long post. If anyone with any ideas for me please let me know. Cheers :D

I will buy a PsP 3000. If they do announce the new PsP, then im going to buy a second hand phat one and use it till the PsP2 comes out! At the moment, I do not have a PsP at all though lol. I plan on trading in my DS which I never use.

Mate, go for the Quick Charge Kit! I bought the Play and Charge and it has given me problems ever since. Saying it has fully charged the battery pack but as soon as i unplug the Play and CHarge KIt, the controller dies!!! Even after help from Gametraders It still didn't work! I recently bought a Quick Charge Kit and it has been perfect. Only takes 2 hours to charge a battery pack. You will never have to have your controller tethered to your Box again. With the Xbox you buy as well as the Quick CHarge KIt itself, you can have one charging while using the other one. For another 30% in cost, it will be very worthwhile (Plus the charger looks awesome sitting there charging two batteries at once).

I would also have to list the rubber-banding in racing games as something that should be eliminated. Need for Speed, I'm looking in your direction!!!
