@mcnichoj: In general. I only want to buy a game once, not pay for it monthly. I could see some exceptions for games that require servers to maintain but, in general, the subscription model is a no-go for me.

@Oren76: concidering the game was released on a smaller budget, it's really amazing how good it is. Its definitely worth the asking price.

Fantastic game. I absolutely love it. The atmosphere/environment is lush. The game play is fun. The story is solid. The new expansion is off to a great start. I really hope there's a lot more to come in the series.

@outlawwitcher61: Because PC isn't a company. MS, Sony are. They pay a price to game publishers for that exclusivity. It would be up to the likes of Steam, GOG, etc, to pay for that exclusivity. Otherwise, it's up to the devs and their publishers.

Indies and AA might not have the funds to develop for more than one platform which is why they focus (thankfully) on PC and maybe distribute to the others if their game is successful.

The publishers almost always want to expand their pool of customers. So, they will always try to distribute on as many platforms as possible. Unless, someone comes along with a good offer for exclusivity.

@pongman1975: My friend tried getting me into it but then got busy and I haven't heard from him in a while. So, it's still kind of hanging out in a holding pattern for me.

@ormgaard: Really? All of them? I mean I agree with you about people's tastes but not even Subnautica?
