I've been using AA batteries for my controller for over 2yrs, & recently it's been acting up (even when using brand new batteries) it just flashes rings & disconnects.
So I've bought 'Play & Charge' kit, at the moment it works like a gem, but the annoyance at the moment is that each time I switch off the console via controller when it's still plugged in, it goes on standby mode (I know it does this due to the settings or it's actually charging), but I don't want it to go on standby, so I changed the settings (basically disabled standby download), it works HOWEVER now I've notcied that when I'm watching a DVD (using Xbox 360 Universal Remote), it lights up controller 1 ring, & if I try switching the console off with the remote, it again goes into standby mode (even when the controller is green/fully charged).
In a nutshell, switching off via controller the console switches off normally. Switches off via remote, it goes into standby mode. So how (what settings) do I prevent my console from going into standby mode? I know I can easily just unplug it, but is there another alternative way?
According to this blog (http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2010/08/27/playstation-network-maintenance/) you can play online. Haven't tried it though...
I've got an error in which I am signed out of PSN (8002A220). Due to what happened in the past (with that code), it should be that PSN is going through maintenance. TBH, instead of a code or an error message, just straightforwardly tell us it's going through maintenance than making us worried whether we're banned from PSN for no reason.
I have a situation & hope somebody can help me.
I have the Xbox 360 media remote. My room has ltd of space, between my laptop & my console, it's about 45cm away from each other. Everytime I press the DVD menu button (& sometimes the Skip forward or/& Power button) on the remote it switches on my laptop. Is there a way to stop this (apart from moving the laptop somewhere further away or taking the battery out)?
