I think the thing most of you need to realize is that I created everythinjg you see that has 3D in those from scratch.

Ya well like I said its really good for someones thats still learning.

Hey considering that he's just starting out thats great fora 3D render. Guess I'm the only one but every time I see this pic I have to say I really like this design. Its cool, sleek and high-tech looking. I know its fake but still...looks cool imo.

The reason I did this project here was to see if people actually
believed that this could be real. I never thought the other "renders" were real and it was my way of getting into the middle of it.

I have learned that I need more practice with 3ds Max but I enjoy the challenge so its not really a big deal.

Something I feel I need to say is that I started out in AutoCAD about 9 years ago and I used that for some of what I did here.

If you want to get into this field, AutoCAD is as good a place as any to get a start.

Oh, well Ive never heard of those programs but then again Im not trying to learn it either :P But I do enjoy art and dsign stuff. I only use GIMP. Ive been ok with it...I mean I can make banners, sigs and other stuff for myself (even my current sig). My PC recently broke and when I got it fixed I had to install the latest version of GIMP and Im like completely lost...they changed alot and Im just not used to it yet...I need to take one of these days play around with it some more.

I think the thing most of you need to realize is that I created everythinjg you see that has 3D in those from scratch. Some I made in AutoCAD and the rest I made in 3ds Max. I pulled images from the internet to "paint" everything. From the Uncharted 2 Disc to the PS symbol.

I'd give you advice if it was Maya, but I have no idea what to do in 3dsmax. From what I can see you need to work on textures, fix the lighting a bit, and bevel your edges.

sam_nintendo

Constructive criticism, when done properly, can really make a huge difference. Do I have too much texture? Not enough? Or a combo of the two? Lighting is always a problem I have.

Beveling edges makes a big diference? Interesting! I'll check that out.

Thanks for the advice!

Any one else have any good advise?

OK, time to come clean here.

I knew it was a fake before I posted it because, well, I made it.

I have been teaching myself 3ds Max, its a slow process, and I wanted to see how many people would bite.

Looks like not many. I need to practice more I guess. lol.

Thanks ALL for the replys. I guess I still have a lot to learn. :)

Any suggestions as to how to make it more realistic?
