[QUOTE="lol_waffles"]Most of the fanboys here in System Wars can't think of anything better to say than "consoles > PCs because u need liek a $5,000 PC to run games as well as a console could". First of all, you do not need to pay $5,000 for a good gaming PC, nor do you need to upgrade every six months like the 11 year olds in here would want you to believe.
Let's put this in perspective....
$1,200 PERSONAL COMPUTER (PC)
- Run games as well as an Xbox 360
- Can do much, much more than a console can (email, internet, instant messaging, pr0n, P2P, emulators, and much more)
- Free online play (with the exception of MMORPGs)
- Can be upgraded whenever you want
- Mods (Oblivion on the PC is about a million times better than Oblivion on the Xbox because of modifications)
- Patches for games (To be fair, some console games do get patches, but not nearly as much as PC games do.)
$400 XBOX 360
- Falls behind PCs in terms of performance
- Can only play games and play DVD movies
- Online play costs $50 a year (I know it isn't much, but still)
- Stuck with the same hardware for the entire generation
So basically, when you buy an Xbox 360, you're paying $400 for an outdated ghetto PC that only plays games and movies, charges you for online play, is obsolete the moment the generation ends, and usually gets dumbed down versions of PC games.

@ The bold: No, it would actually cost slightly more than that to run PC games as well as the 360, the rest of your points, I agree with.
That is false. I max oblivion, and it looks better than the 360 version. My PC costed 1,100 dollars and i bought it over 5 months ago.
