For example I'm just casual customer. Go to the shop and see Toshiba HD for 500$ and Samsung BR for 1000$.

WTF? I'd buy HD-DVD, there is no doubt about it.

BR gonna have hard time -> low support from movie companies -> death

If you were a casual you wouldn't but a new technology for $500.

innovator > early adoptor > early majority (casuals) >  late majority (casuals) > laggards

we are still currently at the innovator stage

Blu-ray isn't desperate enough like HD-DVD to have to list their movie line up for the entire year.

If you look at the recent polls in Japan, PS3, and Revo are neck and neck regarding the interest of Japanese consumers. Half a year ago, the PS3 had a monumental lead in Japanese polls, but momentum is beginning to shift in the land of the rising sun as Japan has once again embraced Nintendo, the DS, and their vision of innovation.Starving-Artist

Polls were similar back in 2000.  While the GC sold as well if not more than the PS2 certain times of the year, the lack of games killed the GC in Japan.

Maruyama previously said that they were hoping to sell 1million units in Japan by summer because it would make developing for the xbox360 easier for the developers.

Doesn't look good for xbox in japan... again.

But what did you expect with only 6 launch games, 12 backwards compatibility games, no RPGs, and your best selling fighter delayed.

Well... typical of Nintendo to screw over GC owners if this really is the case.

That article was already discussed and shot down in this thread.

It did not get shot down except for in your illogical fanboy mind. Games for PS3 will be on DVD as well. All the evidence, in which there is plenty, shows the blu ray drive in the PS3 being terrible for reading non-adjacent sectors. In other words, it will be terrible for games.

Can you provide us with the links to the blu-ray drive used in the PS3?  Cause I can't seem to find any info...

2. The PS2 used a a DVD drive when DVD was already out on the market for many many years. In contrast, BR will almost launch with the PS3.... early adopters always bear the cost and heaches of new technoogly. Thank you Cows.

clearman90

You do realize that BD has been out for a while now right?

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

i am convinced that cows have no brains

Maybe a little research on your part would help.
