This is absolutely ridiculous!

At this point in time Sony better make some big moves of their own.

Microsoft now has COD... COD!!!!

Microsoft just threw the gauntlet down. This whole thing may feel "cheap" to many out there but this is just business for these kind of people.

If Microsoft gets a hold of Take 2 it could very well spell the end for any other gaming company out there. At this point in time Microsoft feels like it is on the verge of a monopoly.

The one good thing about this for other developers (Sony, Microsoft.) is that it is going to make them up their game. We could be in for some really great new IPs coming out of Sony and Nintendo in the future. Competition breeds excellence.

You don't drop $70 billion on developers to not utilize them exclusively.

What would the point be in spending your money? COD still remaining multiplatform? Why would you drop that amount of cash for essentially what you currently have now?

Sorry, that's just not going to happen. Be ready to hear news in the next few months about how COD will be going exclusive. It's going to happen people.

Gamepass was a great idea and one I'm sure that while still in its infancy will become more lucrative for Microsoft moving forward.

It's only natural that others will see the success it has garnered and try to get a piece of the pie especially while the sentiment by gamers for it are at a high.

This subscription model is one I think will be exploited heavily over the next few years (cough-Ubisoft-cough-) by many in the gaming world so whether one is for or against it I think it will not only be here to stay but it will be the dominant model moving forward.

The more money that is poured into our "little hobby" the more it will divided up and exploited in ways that will no doubt make long term die hard gaming fans resent the same companies that produced their favorite past-time.

I wouldn't be surprised if in 6 to 9 years from now gamers could only play games on subscription based streaming services in addition to physical copies/hardware being phased out completely. One only need look at what Microsoft tried to implement with the X box One back at its launch to get a glimpse of the overall goals and inner workings of the powers that be in the gaming world.

I'm an old school gamer and I will hold on to the more "traditional" model of purchasing and playing my games for as long as reasonably possible but even I can see the writing on the wall.

Call of Duty... poor sales...?

Those words don't usually go in the same sentence, lol.

I know the word "poor" is relative, especially when we are talking about one of gaming's biggest earners but still this is something the developers don't want to hear.

Gamers have been adamant about how the franchise has stalled over the last decade despite it continuing to dominate the charts but could this be a sign of a slow and steady decline from now on in terms of sales?

I can kind of see why Sony wouldn't be so eager to get some of their AAA exclusive titles out on PC immediately and why the process may take a while from the initial launch of the game in question.

It's funny the team had to keep pestering Sony but eventually their perseverance paid off.

-" how he feels about people playing God of War with an Xbox controller, and DeWald said it's "awesome."-

LOL!

What do you expect him to say? 🤣

I'm not saying he secretly is upset or doesn't like that more people are playing GOW but sometimes the responses to these questions are so obvious that it blows my mind why the question is even asked.

-"I think people will be surprised, but unsurprised by what they see," - Levine

That's quite the cryptic statement to make.

That could literally mean anything. Surprised but not surprised?

Could this next project be a FPS? Could it be a game involving another utopia/dystopia type setting? Or could it be rather an affirmation of Levine's style of storytelling?

Who knows but if he has been working on this thing for the better part of 8 years I'm sure it's not going to be something he just haphazardly pushes out without any thought or care.
