Oh the agony of school, money and relationships!

Wellyou'veall probably noticed that Idon't really write here anymore. It has been a damn long while!! Actually, nobody notices since none of you ever check, but anyway, I'm back! Hopefully in full force, but most likely just once every few months or so.

What has happened since I left? A lot of gaming has transpired to be sure! I'mstilla video villain, that'll never change. I graduated college finally and now I'm an Assistant Manager of a Gamestop in training to be the Store Manager. Once I get settled, I'll try to transfer to a new place like L.A. or San Fran or something. I gotta be near the game companies!

I'm extremely excited for Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bio Shock, Fallout 3 and many many many other games!!!! Damn this is going to be a good couple years and I get to be right on the front line playing them all with all the time in the world to do so!! AND THE MONEY NOW TOO!!!

So the agony I speak of in the title is the road I traveled to get here. Homework just sucks and not having money is a growing problem for all the young-ins in the world. Relationships help neither and endup destroying massive blocks of time in your life!! I think I lost about 2 years; ironically the same amount of time I was gone!

Anyway, I'll post again another time. Keep you updated on the gaming and the job and hopefully do some reviews of some newer and better games!

Peace out,

James

Almost!

Damn, summer is almost here and then I can work my ass off and make a crapload of money to buy games and play them!! I might go to the beach a lot too. :)

It's amazing!

I'm sitting in the cafeteria of my college (pretty damn small college mind you) and there are a couple of my friends playing DDR wilst others do their finals and still others at a table are playing some Texas Hold'em. The combination of crazy beats, feet pounding the ground, chips hitting the table, screams of winers and losers from everywhere and people yelling that it's too lound is a beautiful ring in my ears as I type this message. Sitting here, i'm eagerly anticipating the new map my friend Hex made in TS3 which we will be playing soon after I finish this.

I'm sitting next to a fireplace drinking a sprite, playing "Chip's Challege" (the best game microsoft ever made) and witnessing this phenomenon of a plethera of different people comming together. It is amazing. I love it.

The Horror!

So yeah, I've been doing a lot of school/work lately and I haven't been fullfilling my gaming duty! I feel I may die! I wish I could go to E3 but it is just way too expensive. I'm not but a lowly gamer

Anyway, I should go, i'm in class now and the teacher just asked me what Biochemical Oxygen Demand and Eutrophication had in common. I killed the lights with my untracable mini-EMP, turned on my infrared goggles and swiftly got behind the know-it-all in the class, grabbing him around the neck. I interrogated him for the answer in silence while the rest of the class wondered aimlessly to solve the problem. After choking him to death and leaving him in his chair, I quickly returned to my chair before the lights came back on. I answered the question flawlessly and chuckled maliciously to myself as the teacher (noticing Greg "sleeping") said, "I've never seen him sleep in class before."

That was fun

So lonely. :(

Nobody reads my journal or my game reviews!! What do I do? How do I get you people to read what I write? It seams pointless to write here, but I will continue to do so for that one fan that may eventually show up.

Good Customer?

So I went to the local EB store to get a new XBOX because mine is old and stupid. I get there and they are out. The shipment that was supposed to come in to them went to the other EB store 20 minutes away instead. The guy at the counter tell me that they should be getting some in an hour. I was hungry and needed to eat anyway (as well as spend some much needed time in the message chairs at Sharper Image, hehe) so I take off and plan on comming back in an hour or so. I get back and they don't have any still. The guy calls the other store and they say the guy has left alread to bring them to this store.

I decide to wait it out for a while, you know I'm having a good time talking about games and stuff with the customers and employees which is my kind of well spent time anyway. I even got mistaken for an employee about 3 times. I helped out twice but this one lady asked about some game I've never heard of and neither had the actual employees. They looked it up and it was like 8 years old and out of print and whatnot (Battle Realms for PC). Anyway, it's been about 2 hours now. There is another customer there waiting for an XBOX as well. He is a big dusche IMO. I mentioned driving over to the other store and he was like, "I just became a father, I can't spend money on gas ya know." Right, but you can buy an XBOX aye? Great father he'll be I'm sure. He just wanted to play sports games, wasn't much fun.

So I end up reading the first two chapters of Halo: First Strike and get hooked. I ended up buying things from their store about 5 times during this whole time! Anyway, I finally decide to go to the other store even though the guy behind the counter couldn't get ahold of the other store (busy) and said they might not have any. Well.... they didn't, every single one was on that truck to the other EB store 20 minutes away but was 7 hours late at this time. After 8 hours of waiting, the guy still never shows up. I get put on a list for the XBOX and congradulated for my patients and good nature as well as a free subscription to XBOX magazine for 3 months. The other guy ended up cussing out both stores and they refused to sell him an XBOX! LOL, what a dusche.

I finally got my XBOX alright! Now I can game again without interruptions! YEAHHHH!!

Mother Fliffer!!

Damn XBOX!! I need a new freaking XBOX because mine is old and always freezes on all my games making a very annoying AAAAAEEEAGEGAGEGEHHAEHAEG!!!! sound. DAMNIT!! I need to get a mini PS2 as well. MONEY MONEY MONEY!!

Trying to sit back and play Sudeki to see what it's like, heard it was bad but want to see for myself. Trying to play some Halo 2 on XBL as well but it keeps freezing so I stopped, knowing that people probably get mad when their teammate just up and leaves during a battle.

how shall I put this...

DOOM 3 ROCKS!! Co-op is so fun! I turned out all the lights and spooked myself to start, then sharted my pants when the demons began to pop. I ended up using brown dye to turn the boxers all brown to hide the skid mark.

A weekend from HELL!

I went out to Monterey this weekend to go to the Aquarium for science class. I'd been there before so it wasn't all that different. I was excited to see the Great White they had in captivity (only one in the world), but was disappointed to learn that it was released TWO DAYS before. Apparently it had eaten too many of the other sharks and fish so they had to let it go. I did, however, see some remnants of its stay when a huge tuna went swimming by in the "Outer Bay" exhibit with a massive chunk taken out of its side. That was Saturday and it ended with a night of smores and talking with a beautiful lady out on the beach for hours. The next day we all went to Santa Cruz and started out wonderful with a great day of surfing at Cal's Beach. The waves were kind of small (1 - 2 with occasional 3 - 4) but I had an 11ft. board so pretty much anything would carry me while I walked back and forth on the board trying handstands and whatnot.

It all started going downhill from here. Halfway through the day of surfing I got some sand in my left eye. I've had that plenty of times before and gotten rid of it easily. I can't explain to you how stubborn this little menace was. We were ready to head back home (Lake Tahoe) at the end of the day at about 5:30pm. I ate some food at Saturn's with my three good friends (including the beautiful lady from the night before). Although the place is awesome the meal was mediocre and I wasn't all that satisfied. Nevertheless we took off. None of us knew how to get out of Santa Cruz though and one of the girls was shouting out bogus directions she made up on the spot while the driver followed. We finally go out of there and were on our way back. There was a storm on scheduled to be going on in the mountains on the way back. It was raining from Santa Cruz the whole way to Lake Tahoe where it was snowing. Keep in mind this ride takes 4 1/2 to 5 hours to complete.

We were on highway 88 going towards Kirkwood when we come across a car flipped on its side. We must have arrived about a minute after it happened because the people were just finished getting out of the car. There was a truck already there with people helping them. I got out and ran to see what was up and the people that were already there to help weren't doing anything. There was a mother, father and two boys. These two boys both had no shoes and were standing in cold snow with shirts and shorts crying. The mother was in disarray and the father was just in shock. The people already there before us were just standing around talking to them instead of HELPING. So I rushed to get my blanket I had and a plastic bag. The mother had banged her head really bad and was complaining about headaches and chest pains. I made an ice pack with the plastic bag and gave her my blanket. I took her to the truck that was already there and told the people to turn the heat on and let her sit in it. Then I went into the turned over car to get the kids some shoes. I don't know if you've ever been in a turned over car but it is freaky and the whole place was covered in glass. I found the shoes and some more blankets. One of the boys had a gash about 5 inches long and 1 inch wide on his lower back and I had my driver friend hold the mom while I cleaned and took care of this gash. Then I told the boy not to sit because it might rip the gash open more. I had him stand outside the truck with a blanket and talk to his mom to keep her awake. The other boy and father were just in shock and I had them wrapped in blankets and talking to the mother as well. The ambulance came and we tried to continue up 88. We found out the reason the family was on the way down was because there was an avalanche onto the road so it was closed.

Turning around we went to find another road to cross over to highway 50. We found one and about 11 miles in we found out this road had never been plowed. We ran into a 5ft. wall of snow after passing a couple fallen trees. We got stuck in a ditch and none of our cell phones had signals. We thought we would be there overnight. We eventually got out and got back onto 88 to head down and find another road to cross over on. The next road we took was one to Placerville. It was about 5:00 am at this time and we were hungry so we took a pit stop at Denney’s. We continued on to Gardnerville (south east side of Lake Tahoe) to get another car that was there and then up to my house in Incline Village on the north side of Lake Tahoe. We got back at about 9:30 am. I was ready for sleep because I had classes that day starting at 2pm. Our landlord (LL) was there when we got. Before even saying "Hi" to us he said "No drinking in the house!" *A little background here; one of my other roommates had recently committed suicide and happened to be an alcoholic.* Then he wanted to wrestle with my other roommate (the driver) and learn some moves. He had class in a couple minutes but our LL was pretty adamant about doing this. So they wrestled and my friend showed him some moves which he weirdly took to heart, repeating it over and over quietly to himself. Then our LL did a prayer for my friend, during which he mentioned my friend's sister and how god should, "Protect her virginity." WTF!! Our LL was getting more and more crazy ever minute. He talked to the hot girl from the beach whom he had never met and was like, "So how do you like the place, when are you moving in?" He even mentioned that during the prayer! My friend went to class and I went down to my room to get some shuteye. I had barely laid down for 15 minutes when I heard a loud racket and yelling upstairs.

Upon reaching the top I see one of my other roommates holding our LL down on the ground screaming, "I don't want to fight you!" I helped separate them and tried to talk sense into our LL but he didn't even acknowledge my existence. He was scary I tell you! Expressionless, dark, sinister, you name it. This guy is 40 and we are 20 and the roommate he was fighting is 33 and could easily kick the LL's ass. The roomy went outside on the balcony to call the cops and the LL ran to the door sliding onto his knees and began screaming, "**** KILLED HIMSELF IN THIS HOUSE!! THAT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY, IT IS MY FAULT!" He is referring to the roommate that committed suicide of course and that he had drank in the house. The fight turned out being about the 33 year old roomy not accepting the "no drinking in the house" policy. The LL had been the one earlier telling us all it was none of our faults, none of us could have prevented the suicide and now he pulls a 180 like this. So the roomy on the balcony says, "It wasn't your fault!" (Of course) and the LL goes and attacks him AGAIN! The roomy is really pissed now and I think someone is going over the balcony (3 stories tall). He pushes the LL to one side of the balcony and goes through the house and out the front door to finish calling the cops. LL comes in and stops for a second, still not acknowledging me, and takes off to the front door where he proceeds to yell at the top of his lungs three times, "I LOVE YOU MAN!!!" Then says he has to go and he'll be back and takes off in his car. The police arrive and we talk to them and whatnot. The 33 year old roomy gets packed up and moves out that day. I find our later the LL had tried to rap his ex-wife the night before and then THAT night after the fight had gone and beat up his son!

I'm at a loss at this moment as to what to do because I don’t want to live in this house anymore but neither my roommate nor I have anywhere to go. I missed classes that day and didn't get to study for tests the next day and had to crash at a friend’s house that night. AHAHHHAHHAHAHHHH!!!!!!!! EVERY THING IS SOO CRAZY NOW!! All I could do to relax was crunk some people in Halo 2 and play some Mario Sunshine to make myself feel better.

Oh yeah. This whole time I had a dammed piece of sand in my left eye that is STILL THERE!!

I need to play some DOOM 3, hope you enjoyed my story.

Enter Video Villain

Well, what can I say? This being my first journal I figure I must spill my guts. How did I become a video villain you may ask? "Why let me tell you," I would promptly say followed by, "It all started when..." So without further ado, here she blows:

It all started when I was about 4 years old. I was walking around my neighborhood looking for trees to climb up into to let me down like an elevator. After hearing my mother call me in for dinner I decided it would be a good idea to listen to her. Normally I would stay out another hour or so at least, getting myself into trouble possibly getting a spanking from the pops. I get inside and what do I see? I see a NENTINDO!! It's just sitting right there on the floor connected to my TV. You know what happened next already because I'm sure most of you hardcore gamers did the same thing. You sat down and played Mario until your eyes bled, skipping dinner and sleep. I played so much after I first got it that my parents decided to take it away for about a week; during which I suffered severe withdrawals. I caused fights with my older sister due to irritability and tried to annoy my parents as much as possible until my precious was returned. In other words, I really loved this thing and chose it to be my God. I played many other games on that beloved machine and still own it and all my games. I moved on to the Sega Genesis and SNES later, gameboy, N64, PS blahdeblahdeblah.... Ever since that day I’ve been an avid gamer and bled from the eyes many times over.

When I was a freshman in high school, my step dad would come into my room sometimes when my friends and I were gaming and ask, "What are you villains up to?" To witch we would reply "playing video games." We were constantly playing; day in, day out, skipping school, skipping meals and skipping sleep most of all. He called us villains because we caused trouble inadvertently so he put it. Through inaction we were troublemakers. Gears started turning and eventually he called us the VideoVillains. "What are you video villains up to now?" we heard over and over though he new the answer.

Maybe you don't think the name or the story is cool, but VideoVillains stuck with me and I think it is a great name. I bought the domain name and used to host a forum, but I got too busy with gaming and college so I just own the domain now. I was thinking of eventually putting up a web comic but I don't think I could compare with the wonderful web comics already out there plus I seriously lack talent in the art department. Programming I can do but art...I'd do better trying to hit a rail and crushing my grundle. Maybe I'll try some day though. In the mean time I will continue to be VideoVillain and wreak havoc upon those who challenge my gaming skills!

Being a gamer is my life and making games is my future. I'm on my way getting one step closer each day. I plan to eventually own a game company as many of you I'm sure may have plans for. So I say to you, spangly may be a good meal when it's hot, but when it's cold it can tear into your face like a chainsaw!!

I do wonder if anyone will even read this. I promise that later ones will be much more interesting and usually much shorter.

Peace out,

VideoVillainMan!
