i actually havent touched my copy since the orange box came out, TF2 is awesome, and ive already beaten the H3 sp. im sure ill pick it up again evetually, but im still p;aying HL2 as well so who knows how long thatlll be
the only one i'm definitley buying is COD4. shooters are my genre and I played the beta so for me its a must buy. i might also check out army of two and mass effect depending how much time and money i have floating sriund
I think hl2 is amazing, its one of few games where ive really felt immersed in a games world. the scope of it it is amazingly large and i think it does a great job of making you feel like the hero of some resistance. and ill admit that it doesnt have the best graphics, but once again its a huge game and IMO it feels more realistic than any other game just due to theincredible character animations. i guess some people might not enjoy because its not really like the kind of shooters you find on consoles, i cant put my finger on what it is but itdefinitely has that pc feel to it, obviously due to the fact that it is a pc shooter, but theres got to be something that differentiates pc shooters from those on consoles
For everyone trying to excuse H3's length by saying to play it on lengendary, that's nonsense. It takes longer because it's harder, you die more => game takes longer, not because it lengthens the amount of gameplay. And this might just be me, but I don't count having to die a myriad number of times in order to get my money's worth a desirealbe quality in a game.
I'll tell you this much, if they do make Halo 4, I certainly won't be buying it. I'm done after this round, too much money for too little story and in many ways devolved gameplay. If its really about the games and not the money then they should end it here, Halo 2 was much better IMO, even with the ending it had.
i think they should have made more playlists. i like playing ffa games but i hate some of the game types they threw in the mix. if im in the mood for some ffa slayer i have to go through a bunch of other stupid gametypes like ninjanaut and oddball first. they should let you vote on the gametype rather than having you veto them
dont go by the scores alone. IMO Halo 3 is one of the most blantantly overrated games ever. dont get me wrong, its a greatgame, but a 9.5? thats one step below perfect, and H3 is far from perfect. im sure im not the only one here who was disappinted with the final product
the gameplay in either game really is much different so its up to you whatever style you prefer, tactical (gow) orclassic type fps (h3). you will definitely get your money's worth either way
Bioshock experience >>> Halo 3, however you get more play time out of H3. And too early to really tell yet becauseI haven't finished it, but The Orange Box is turning out to be far, far better than H3, I think I almost should've just skipped H3 altogether.
I personally cannotstand Halo 3's matchmaking. the teams are constantly uneven and you are unable to switch them nor can you leave an unfair match without being penalized. I am much happier to put up with host advantage and some glitching in gears than losing 10+ matches in a row in Halo 3 through no fault of my own
