To make a long story short, my elite went RROD and it is out of warranty. Previously it had an e-64 error which I fixed by opening the case and putting it back together again. It was out of warranty at that point and I didn't want to spend the $100 to fix something I could do myself. At any rate, I can't return it and the problem is not the 120g hdd.
Question: Would there be a problem with simply buying an arcade and slapping the hdd on it?
Okay, I don't really know who to blame on this so I am going to blast Sony and Dice. Bad Company has no mute feature. I cannot tell you how many times I load that game up and some moron has the tv too loud so I hear everything twice coming through my OWN tv or headset. BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHER PEOPLE, I get on my mic and tell them to turn the tv down or turn the mic off if they are not going to be communicating to people in the game or I send a message via psn to the person and NO ONE RESPONDS. SONY: PUT A MUTE PLAYER FEATURE ON PSN. DICE: PUT A MUTE PLAYER FEATURE IN BAD COMPANY (like Warhawk has). Seriously, people.
Get an edge card at gamestop and go used. You get 10% off used games and the games are guaranteed to work. I mean, does it really matter if the disk has been used before if it works? The only problem I have with gamestop is sometimes the cases are in bad shape and they have 3 stickers all over them. Otherwise it is hard for me to justify spending $60 on a video game. I'm old enough to remember when games cost $40-50 brand spanking new on release day. It has to be an epic game for me to buy first day. I can count on one hand how many games: GTA4, Bad Company, MGS4, Little Big Planet and Madden 09. I regretted the Madden 09 choice though. Here are some deals I have gotten at gamestop:
I have a 40g PS3 and I just walked out of a mom and pop video game store with a black label mint copy of Final Fantasy VII for $50. Aside from how awesome a deal that is, should I have any problem playing this on my PS3? This is the first ps game I have ever owned. Thanks.
