Microsoft with the xbox 360 also introduced charging for basic online gameplay....

But what was really awful about that was that online gameplay was basically the only main feature of xbox live and it was hidden behind a pay wall fee.

(at least current PSN+ offers far more value and offers MORE then just online gamplay)

Microsoft with the 360 also introduced the DLC money cash grubbing craze.

Microsoft with the 360 introduced such generic cookie cutter cinematic movie type linear shooter franchises such as Gears and Halo

But when you look at the last gen, Microsoft relied mostly on multi-plats

(which by the way, that wont work this time because multi-platform games will always be superior on PS4)

I mean to even praise the 360's game library is laughable....over 90% of its library consisted of multi-plats that are on PS3....the rest consisted of nothing but repetitive, boring sequels of Gears/Halo/Forza/Fable rehashed to death on damn near yearly cycles....throw in some obscure Kinect and XBLA titles....and that was about it....

So Microsoft with the 360 brought with it the attitude that exclusives dont matter and quality isnt important.

The xbox 360 has had one of the worst pathetic exclusive libraries of all time..

Microsoft has done much more HARM to the industry over all, and thats still not even counting what they are currently "bringing to the table" with their pathetic and anti-consumer xbone machine....I will get into that in a little..

When it came to eveything that truly mattered to gamers the PS3 was king. The variety, quality, and diversity of PS3 exclusives simply could not be touched....

Ok, here we go...we already know how much of an utter joke the xbone is....its 100$ more expensive yet 50% weaker then a PS4....gaming is a secondary focus on the xbone.....kinect is a spy cam...etc

Then there is the fact Microsoft even tried to take away consumer rights. If they had had their way, always online and DRM would be the standard.....so thank god even more now for Sony and the PS4!

Honestly, it would be much better for us all if the xbox brand just died or was written off into obscurity....

Microsoft doesnt have a clue what they are doing and they have always been viciously anti-consumer and anti-gamer (proven again and again by their actions)

plus all the Microsoft shills, and all the FUD they try to spread.....and all the BS politics Microsoft has brought into gaming etc...

Microsoft is responsible for everything thats ugly in gaming....Microsoft needs to be exterminated already...

Somebody else needs to step in in Microsoft's place OR Sony should be left to do their thing while Nintendo does theirs...

PS1 and PS2 eras were some of the best ever and those eras had little to no competition....

The PS4 has had no competition from the xbone and the PS4 is still the best gaming console ever....etc...."competition" hasnt been a good thing....it sounds good on paper but in reality it hasnt been the case...

Saying the xbox brand is good for competition is like saying Hitler was good for the competition he "offered" to Europe etc

Halo for taking the FPS genre and dumbing it down for consoels... and also for introducing the bullshit known as health regeneration

Geas of War for starting the whole trend of having bleak art, with no color or soul to it, wrapped up in uninspired military settings.....

Also Gears of War again for starting off the whole linear cinematic whach a mole cover shooting shootbang non sense..

Gears remains one of the most basic, barebones, shallow, restricted, boring, repetitious, uninspired shooters ever....

Come to think of it, Microsoft Xbox exclusives are responsible for creating everything thats wrong with shallow AAA games today...

Uncharted remains the pinnacle of action adventure.

Naughty Dog with Uncharted DID it RIGHT and to perfection....

And if anything I give Naughty Dog/Uncharted more credit......because at a time when developers were focusing on cut scenes.....Naughty Dog with Uncharted found a way to let you PLAY its cut scenes instead.....and it was done so well in a way that made sense and was so much fun....Naughty Dog was one of the first developers to take a step towards allowing for more gameplay control at all times. Naughty Dog always did design with gamers and GAMEPLAY in mind first....

You should blame all the shitty Uncharted clones on those SHITTY developers who COPIED Naughty Dog.....and on those developers who introduced their problems into the fray

You WANT to know WHY the xbone was able to sell "more" durring Black Friday?

Because they were more previously UNWANTED xbones sitting on shelfes for people to buy lol

It is still the first batch of xbone shipments being sold through etc

Where as every first batch of PS4 shipments sold out with a quickness.

PS4s were sold out every where...because people actually wanted a PS4 more then anything......

Sony did ship a lot of PS4s, but the demand for the PS4 is something like we have never seen before.

BUT just wait until Sony can release the second batch of shipments for the PS4.....they will sell out like hot cakes again.....

The PS4 is much much much MORE in demand....

I bet the people who bought an xbone on Black Friday were desperate too and probably arent even that much into games either...just bought it for the special deals etc....

I agree 100% with who said that the xbone will be like the Wii-U (strong intial sales then a huge drop off in interest etc) Thats going to be the case..

Now that Sony sees this news, they are going to ramp up shipments of the PS4 though...they wont let Microsoft rest on any kind of advantage

When this is about GAMING, the console that has always been focused on GAMING should be the one that is praised, the PS4.....Sony has been with gamers from the start of the PS4...Sony should always be praised (if you are a gamer)

The reason why I bring that up is because I want to talk about how:

The gaming media always tries to downplay the PS4's advantages over the xbone.

How they always try to act as Microsoft apologists.

It is unacceptable. They are purposely steering readers wrong.

The claims of "there isnt a difference between 1080p and 720p"

"xbone and PS4 are close in power"

Blatant LIES and flase informration.

How are they allowed to spread lies like that. As readers we should be able to sue them....

Im glad its NOT WORKING for the most part though.....It NEVER will work.

But its still blatant corruption. We need to speak up on that too.....or we can just completely disregard the Microsoft shill bought for gaming media until the point they become totally irrelevant, and that would be something good for us all....

We saw from the very first reveal that the focus of the xbone was NOT going to be on gaming but on TV/snap shot features. That should already be inexcusable. This is gaming..But now, the thing that has become even more apparent is that:

-Your TV does TV better then the xbone.

-Your PC multi-tasks and "snaps" better then xbone can.

-And of course the PS4 does gaming WAY BETTER then the xbone ever can (what matters the most)

Etc etc

The xbone is marketed as the "all in one," YET it does not do any one thing better then the competition in each field already does.

Every one has a TV and every one has a laptop or smart phone which do multi-media features better too, so again, there is no point

And still we have yet to even adress the many other big problems the xbone has:

-The fact the xbone is 100$ more expensive then a PS4 while offering 50% weaker hardware/specs then a PS4

Xbone is under-powered and over-priced...

So you cant even say that the xbone is just an incremental upgrade in prettier graphics, because its worse then that

-There is also the fact the xbone UI is a slow, cluttered, unresponsive mess...Install times are horrendous on the xbone too....

-The Kinect terms of agreement states that Microsoft has the right to gather any info it wants from you with Kinect and do what ever they pleaae with it....they confirm themsefles its a spy cam...considering Microsoft is in bed with the NSA...gee I wonder whats going to happen...but they claim it will be for "marketing purposes" suure.

-The fact Microsoft has already tried to butcher consumer rights with their always online/xbone DRM schemes....they were forced to stop at the last second due to fear of losing more and more pre-order sales....but the plans are still there in place...whats to stop Microsoft from trying again...they want to bring it all back....just listen to their PR.

I just dont see how anyone rational can think something like the xbone is ok for gaming or for consumers...

So what really inspired this thread too, is that after spending some time with the xbone at my cousins house, there is a strong sense that there is no purpose, rhyme or reason to the xbone or any of its features.

Xbone TV or snapshot features add nothing of value to gaming....they only serve as a distraction...I want to game not watch TV on a small window to the side...or have to bother with snapping useless features to the side when all I want to do is game.

..where as innovative patented PS4 share features are centered around GAMING and add to the value of GAMING...

I know its not just me, it really does feel like the xbone is a souless, cash-in, uninspired machine with most its features tacked on or hidden behind xbox live pay wall fees. SO I.e xbone is also very anti-consumer...

Im just gald i've made the decision to never get an xbone. All I will ever need is my PS4. Its cheaper, more powerful, keeps the focus on gaming, and does gaming better then anything else out there...and of course for those awesome Playstation exclusives!!!!

Thankfully the xbone is getting slaughtered by the PS4 in sales, thats how competition works...

but it is still dissappointing that a product like the xbone is not out right failing....because it opens the flood gates for products like the xbone to be accepted...for Microsoft's anti-consuner practices to be accepted etc....for the sake of competition and for the sake of the consumer the xbone needs to fail miserably....we need to make a stand and send the correct message.

In this day and age everyone already has a smart phone or laptop that offers every multi-media feature you can think of.. Many who have a PS4 already have smart phones or laptops - they compliment each other....what would be the purpose of cramming everything you already have from smart phones/laptops into a PS4 when the PS4 is a GAMING console first and foremost. PS camera on PS4 has voice commands too. Even then, Kinnect commands are said to be just as awful.

Live TV is useless. It reserves a small side of your screen for it. Trying to play a game at the same time now becomes one of the biggest distractions ever. Plus snap or live TV has downgraded picture quality.

Who wants to watch TV like that, in a tiny window on the side of your screen with shitty quality while trying to game?

Xbone is a failure of a product with no identity.

The PS4 is all about gaming and does everything gaming related to perfection, from its innovative social features that are built around GAMING like PS4 share features, to vita remote play function, to dynamic menus, to a fast responsive UI that serves to get you up and going as fast as possible, to the awesome value of PSN+ etc

While to boot PS4 still has entertainment features that are FREE to use, the same entertainment features that are hidden behind fees on xbox live etc

All in all,

The PS4 literally DOES EVERYTHING BETTER then the xbone for less money while keeping the focus on gaming etc.

No way around it, the PS4 significantly CRUSHES the xbone in every single criteria that can be seen or proven.

If you are a gamer, the cheaper more powerful PS4 with better exclusive developers is the ONLY correct option
